Timeshare Closing Services Inc.
Which is the escrow company used by TTS - has earned my respect and thanks!
Last month I purchased a contract via TTS.
I was having a numbspell when I told them that it should be titled to my self and my mother--but I forgot to specifically say the title should be jointly held (done by inserting the phrase "as joint tenants with full rights of survivorship") into the record.
{My wife and I also own contracts--but those contracts state "husband and wife" with which in Florida is automatically joint.}
Therefore, the contract was recorded as if it was common ownership 50% + 50%.
The problem with that is if in the event one of the titled, non marital, owners predeceases the other --being that none of us live in Florida, we would have to probate their estate in Florida (as well as within your home state) in order to pass the ownership interest fully over to the surviving titled owner. This would be a lenghty and expensive process.
So much for background;
I called Brenda at TCS and explained all of this to her yesterday. Today I got an email saying that they will take care of it, issue and record a corrective deed, and send it to me.
In that email (after I had already told her it was my fault and I expected to pay for their services) she said they'll do this 'on the house', and to keep them in mind for future needs!
I think that's wonderfully customer service!
It also speaks very well in my mind about The Timeshare Store - they clearly picked a great closing agency to work with!
