Hello: I'm planning on buying a resale through this/these companies. Does anyone have any helpful information about them? Thanks Canadian Tom

You may want to look at this thread. The OP says she used Timeshare Broker Sales I believe.

Edit: nevermind, looks like it was maybe a different company. They all have such similar names, lol

I have used Vacatia in the past, and have had good experiences... ie: no surprises.

I think the questions you want to ask as a buyer are what are the closing fees, and what do they include. All brokerages are not created equal. Sell My Timshare Now (SMTN.com), for example, charges the buyer a fixed 1300 closing fee compared with just about everyone else's 500-800. Fidelity and Vacatia closings do not come with title insurance... that can be about 150-350 extra. There are a few brokerages out there where title insurance is included in the buyer's closing... **********, timeshare store, dvc resalemarket, etc.

Just something to keep in mind so that you don't have any surprises and that you're able to compare apples to apples.

I'd like to know more about the process you went through via Vacatia. It sounds like it's a third party, online marketplace for timeshare sales/rentals...not a traditional brokerage. Is that an accurate assessment? If that's the case, from a buyer's perspective, how confident are you to recommend this service to someone who will be making their first DVC purchase?

I have no experience with them, myself, but Vacatia is one of the two "approved resellers" that DVD refers people to who call member services asking about selling their contracts. Based on that, I'm quite sure they're legit.

I believe that they are endorsed by DVD as well. I have a property that just cleared ROFR last week. Now I'm waiting on the estoppel. So far the process has been smooth up to this point. I'll be able to give you more info hopefully this week.
