When I go to WDW with family in Mid May we will be on the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. My question is what times should we reserve for each meal? In my traveling party, there will be 2 adults and one 7 1/2 month old boy.

The times will be dependent on how your lifestyle is with your child. At 7.5 months only you would really know the best time. Keep in mind, though, that as with dining at home the later it gets the more challenging it can become.

Disney will be full of families, but if there are restaurants you want to visit later in the evening where most of the diners will be with older children or sans-children just be mindful that if your sweet baby decides to voice unhappiness that you may need to go outside. Most people understand that babies are on their own schedules, but not everyone.

Routines for the little ones are good, especially when it comes to eating. You're probably better off eating early and enjoying the lovely evenings with a stroll and perhaps a treat with DH rather than waiting until 8pm to eat and trying to juggle your meal and DS.

You'll do just fine and will enjoy yourself if you allow time. There will be a lot of new sights, sounds and smells for your DS and his schedule might be off as well. Don't fret though -- a little fresh air always helps.

Take lots of sunscreen for everyone and enjoy yourselves.

Best Wishes!

Good points but i was also thinking about spacing those big meals apart as well. If you do three sit downs they are going to have to be pretty far apart or you are going to be OVER stuffed all day.

Maybe a before park (8ish) breakfast, early afternoon lunch (1 or 2ish) and if you daugher allows, a latish (7 or so) dinner??

Hi,

Have you made your Advance Dining Reservations, (ADR's) yet? If you are going in May of 2008, you need to call as soon as possible to schedule your meals. Also, will you have hopper tickets... if not, you'll need to schedule your meals in the park you'll be visiting each day, or at Downtown Disney, the Boardwalk or a resort restaurant. (Great way to check out other resorts.)

Since you're on the Deluxe Plan, consider some of the signature meals, requiring 2 credits. Enjoy!

Have a magical trip!

Also wanted to second about calling for your ressies ASAP if your trip is THIS May. At this point, it will be challenging to get sit down meals at your choice of times. I would call Disney Dining, see what they have available, if they don't have a lot of availability, I would cancel your Deluxe Dining Plan. It's a lot of food to begin with (more than I'd ever be able to eat) but if you can't get decent TS ADRs, it's really a huge waste of money.

Schedule breakfasts early (before 8am) Especially character breakfasts.
Eat lunch around 11am.
This will seem strange but the crowds will be much smaller.

For me, it would be too difficult to do the deluxe dining with my dd. Too many table service meals to contend with. When we go she'll be 11 1/2 months. We're doing basic dining with one TS per day and that's enough for me! All of our dinner times are early, 4 and 5ish. Our only breakfast is at 9:30.

My reservations for my trip, so far -

May 12: Lunch-Contemporary 1:40pm Consourse Steakhouse

Dinner-Magic Kingdom 7:30pm Crystal Palace

May 13: Dinner-Hollywood Studios 7:15pm Sci-Fi Dine In Restaurant

May 14: Breakfast-Animal Kingdom Lodge 7:40am Boma-Flowers of Africa

Lunch-Epcot 1:00pm ChipNDales Harvest Feast at the Garden Grill

Dinner-Epcot 6:30pm Rose and Crown Pub

May 15: Breakfast-Boardwalk Resort 8:00am Spoodles

Lunch-Downtown Disney 1:pm Wolfgang Pucks Café

Dinner-Coronado Springs Resort 6:30pm Maya Grill

May 16: Breakfast-Animal Kingdom Lodge 10:20am Tusker House

Do you plan to have your little one sleep in the stroller? What time does he go down at night. 7:30pm ADRs might be a little late for him. Most restaurants don't let you bring strollers in so you'll have to have him sleep while holding him.

The 7:40 Breakfast at AKL...I don't know where you are staying but it's probably going to be quicker to take a cab to the resort. Also I don't know if it's a typo or not but Tusker House is at the AK PARK not the resort. Looks like you got some good places there! Good luck with all that eating!!!

Ryan goes to bed right now around 9:30pm and gets up around 7:30am. The travel agent sent me the food plan info. Thanks for noticing the mistake on her part and the stroller info.

Oh you have a good sleeper there! Although I feel your pain about the 9:30 bedtime...my 4 year old still goes to bed that late :) Don't know what I'm going to do when she goes to Kindergarten! Have a good trip!!!

Thank You! We will be staying at the AKL.

Oh I hope you love it...it's a great hotel. We stayed on the 4th floor, Zebra Trail room...the view was amazing!

That also makes the 7:40 breakfast at Boma a lot easier :)
