I need help with timing- I am so confused... We have just one day at MK on Friday (11/22) and want to make the most of our day since we only have until 6pm.

We are staying at Hilton Bonnet Creek, will have own car, have free parking via annual pass holders traveling with us, FP secured for Splash, space and Thunder mtns.

I am trying to figure out at time line from breakfast to rope drop! Please help me figure out:
-when to leave the Hilton
-where to park (at park, at contemporary, ect)
-when/where to wait and best route to 7dmt (following by Peter Pan if the stars a-line...)

What else am I missing???

Thank you in advance.

I should probably know this although I don’t off the top of my head, but since that morning has 8-9am EMHs, is Hilton Bonnet Creek EMH eligible and/or are you planning on doing EMH? Or just regular 9am rope drop?

They are now a "Disney partner" hotel so we do get the EMH.

Got it, thanks. Always new things to learn. :-)

Are you committed to having a car vs taking ride share/taxi? I personally would rather avoid the TTC on a AM EMH morning.

I’d rather take a taxi/ride share to CR and walk over to MK. You can’t park your car at CR unless you valet (which is $33 plus tip).

I’ll defer to others to provide input on any time recommendations.

Have fun!

As much as we would love to Uber to Contemporary, we have two kiddos in carseats so that's a no go. Could some of us get dropped off closer to the entrance to go ahead and get inside while the others park? I know uber can't drop off at the entrance but can regular cars?

As far as I know, only official Disney vehicles are allowed near the entrance. Thats why Minnie Vans can drop there. Everyone else drops off at TTC.
I would be at the tapstiles 30 minutes before EMH open.

Once you are at the hub, you want to be on the right side and take the path around the castle. I drops you nearly in front of 7DMT, although I've seen reports showing either direction is similar in length.

I can't give you a timeline for how long it will take at TTC, but I would expect at least 30 minutes from parking to entry to the park.

Just a thought and not sure how well it will work with EMH. When we went during Spring Break 2019, we booked an early breakfast at BOG. We ordered cupcakes and coffee. We ate and looked around and were lined up for SDMT 15 mins before opening. We were getting on the ride 3 mins before the park opened. It worked great to get it done and not have to wait.

Leave earlier than you think you have to. Especially if you are driving and parking somewhere. You want to aim to be at the park entrance around 7:15/7:20 for an 8am start. If you are walking over from the contemporary you will have to go through a separate security checkpoint and there are significantly less bag checkers there than if you go through the main entrance. So if there are a lot of people rope dropping from Contemporary you might get held up. When you get through security/ tickets scanners you obviously want to wait as close to the front as possible, but we found we got in much quicker when we were in the front but off to the side a bit. Once you are in, there is really only 1 route to 7DMT as a lot of things are still roped off. Make a beeline for the Cheshire Cafe. You queue up again at Fantasyland (right in front of the cafe) until the park officially opens and then you are guided by a CM in a somewhat orderly fashion to the ride Good luck! I would just park at the TTC or maybe park at a resort and take the bus (if you’re allowed to do that).

This doesn’t work with EMH because BOG still just opens at 8am, no change.

Last time we were there, I dropped my husband and two boys off near the Contemporary and then I went and returned the rental car. There was a pull in place and they jumped out of car. I'd get an uber or Minnie with car seats and go from there. Or take the Hilton bus, I'm sure it leaves in plenty of time for EMH. But even the Hilton bus leaves at the dreaded TCC which I avoid like the plague.
