1st of all thanks everyone for all the great info and updates. I like others am one to mostly read the board and not post much.

My husband and I (no kids)will be doing our 1st Disney cruise or cruise of any kind later this year (7 day cruise)and I am overwhelmed by all the activities and entertainment that are available on the Disney cruise. Please tell me if this is correct:
To reserve a spa time, dinner at Palo's and/or high tea these need to be done fairly soon after boarding the boat for the first time, due to high demand and reservations going quickly

When do you make excursion reservations? Before you even arrive or also on the 1st day?

What type of reservations can be made before hand? And what reservations do you have to wait and do on the boat?

It also seems like there are activities that Disney tells you when you can do them, like character breakfast and evening shows. Is this also correct?

Well, I think this is enough questions for now. Thanks

Hi. We just got back from our first Disney 7 night cruise but our 4th cruise overall. We had a wonderful time. Let me see if I can answer your questions.

1. Excursions can be booked from home prior to the cruise. You will receive a pamphlet about the different excursions and their costs, times and activities. Excursions can also be made on board, but, it seems that popular ones are full by the time the day arrives.

2. Yes, you will be notified about when your character breakfast is. Our servers very informally notified us that it would be the nesxt morning and when and where to show up. Very simple.

3. Show times are easy. If you have the late (second) seating, the show time for you is at 6:30. If you have the early (main) seating, your show time is at 8:30. No reservations or anything. Just show up and enjoy!

4. Palo and spa, both can be made when you board the ship and should be made on that day to avoid dissapointment. But as I have said already in 2 other threads, we did not board the ship until about 1:30 and we got reservations for Palo and the surial bath with NO problems. Don't worry.

Everything is very clearly written in time and date form on the daily personal navigator. Each day's activities are marked where, when and what for almost every hour of the day! So much to choose from you can't do it all. You get that information the night before in your stateroom so can do some planning for the following day. Most people carry these around with them as they come in handy and you can't possibly memorize it all!

Hope this helps!

You can make reservations for shore excursions after you have both paid in full and at the 60 day prior to sail date.

You can get the info from a pop-up window on the DCL website on the 'fun onshore' page, the link is at the bottom of the page.

Basically, you can call the toll free number or email your requests.
Toll free is at 877-566-0928
Email is at dcl.shore.excursions@disney.com

Palos and the Spa have to be made in person after you board the ship, unless you have a category 1, 2, or 3 suite, in which case a concierge will assist you with them.

You can also wait until you board the ship and make shore excursion reservations then.

hope that helps
