So I'm soon able to start booking things for our October vacation, and I was curious how long a hairdo and nailpolish (the "crown" job) takes. I would like to try and book BBB for 10AM and then take my DD to lunch at Cindy's at 2PM. Is that enough time?

ETA: Okay -- when I originally posted this question I was thinking of taking DD to the DTD location and now I realize there is one right in MK. So if I do BBB, when should I plan lunch for? 2hrs, 3hrs, etc.

The crown package should take around 30-35 minutes.
I would go with an 10:45am BBB appointment and the first lunch ADR time of 12:05pm.

I would allow more time in between. ALthough the appt. only takes 45 minutes, the MK location especially gets really, really, really backed up. So I would allow more time in between, like an extra hour. You probably won't need it, but it's not worth missing lunch over. Personally, I'd get the first available BBB appt. You're in and out much quicker, and can then enjoy fantasyland as a princess for the morning. Trust me, the hair will not be out of place, it lasts until you finally break down and take it down. And they send you with all your makeup if she needs a touchup before her big pic w/ cinderella.

Great to know, thank you! Which is the preferred location, MK or DTD? Last time we were there my DD was too young, but I only remember there being a location at DTD...when did the MK location come about?

I agree w/Ireland Nicole...do an am appt to avoid waits. If you get one of the first appts, you should be ready in plenty of time for rope drop and fun on rides. It seems a lot to ask of a kid to be in the middle of the MK and not do any rides!

The MK BBB seems to fill up fast for appts....you may have to keep calling to get your preferred time slot. I had to keep calling for a cancellation to get our preferred time, but it eventually came through...although I felt a bit like a stalker calling every day!!

Also, keep in mind if you want to do the pictures afterwards you have to go back to the beginning of Main Street to get them done (Exposition Hall).

Such wonderful advice for this newbie to BBB, thanks! I tried to get an early appt, but the earliest I could get was 10:20 AM...so I booked lunch for 1:15 PM...will that be okay you think?

I would allow at least another 45 min. for pics if you do the photo shoot. It took us a while for the pics with posing and all. They feel like a true princess if you get a good photographer. Good luck and have fun!!!

I don't think we will do the photo package. Might skip that part this time. I'll have my camera and will take tons of pictures at lunch. Is the photo package a good idea??

The photopass photographer will take a bunch of pics while your dd is getting her makeover, so there is that (you can take pics too!). I had my dd pose w/Cinderella by herself at CRT and I just considered that complimentary package our photoshoot!!!

That's what I was thinking. Since it will only be DD, my 1yr old DS and I at CRT I figured I'd let her do the picture by herself. My DS would be cute, but my oldest DS and DH are going to Universal that day so it is HER day.

Would we be able to go get pics done after breakfast? The CM told me we would have more than enough time because they are right across the hall from each other.

You will have enough time to get the package done and then go the CRT for breakfast....BBB and CRT are across the hall from each other. However, if you want to do the photo shoot, you will have to walk all the way to the front of the park to Exposition Hall to get the photoshoot done. You should be able to do that after breakfast...at which point you will be in the MK about 3 hours w/no rides -- that would be intolerable to my DD!! There is a photopass photographer in BBB to take pics of the makeover and your CRT meal includes a "complimentary" photo w/Cinderella.
