Time-wise is this possible? (ADR after Fantansmic)

Okay, posted this somewhere else by mistake, so I will repost it in the appropriate spot.

My parents and I are planning a Jan 2011 trip. Right now we have an ADR at Le Cellier for 8pm on a 6:30pm Fantasmic night... so as per the thread title is this possible? There are still some spots for later in the night available too (8:15, 8:30 etc...), so even though it's a while away I don't want to be scrambling to change it and hope there is space...

Also what would be quicker to bus to Epcot and then walk to World Showcase or to take the boat?

It would be quickest to walk from Studios to Epcot through the Boardwalk. But if you don't want to do that, don't take the bus to the front of Epcot because you'd then need to walk through the entire park.

Remember the boat takes a half hour for the full trip to IG. You may be able to cut a little time off by getting out at Swan/Dolphin and walking via the Boardwalk. If you want to get closer, get out at either Boardwalk or Yacht Club (whichever comes first) and walk from there.

You could also catch a cab at Studios to ride to the Beach Club but I don't know what traffic leaving Studios after Fantasmic would be like.

It may be a good idea to strategically seat yourselves somewhere that allows you relatively easy exit from Fantasmic. When the theatre empties it could take you longer to get out of the park than the time spent watching the show.

I haven't done the walk to Epcot from DHS, but I would probably feel better with a later reservation if it were at all possible. It just takes some pressure off of you.

Thanks everyone... I realized it was a 6:30pm show... So I guess that's cutting it too close.

When would be the best time to make the ADR for a 6:30pm show? I don't want to eat super late and there are no restaurants at DHS that appeal, so I may have to rethink that ADR.

How long would it take to walk? (like average pace...)

With a 6:30 show you would probably need a later reservation.

The walk is probably about 20 minutes or so.

Okay 20mins isn't that bad really... we walk pretty fast (well my dad and I, my mom's a bit slower, haha!!)

I've made a reservation for 8:30pm now... does that sound better?

My logic (which granted can be wrong ) is 6:30pm show, figure show done at 7:00, at worst out of the stage by 7:45 (plan to sit near the exit but just incase, you never know) which leaves 45 minutes to get to Le Cellier?

Okay sorry to hijack my own thread, but before it gets lost among the other threads I just need some final advice!

Should I keep the 8:30pm reservation? I've also made a lunch reservation there, but I would prefer to do supper, but I really don't want to be too rushed or have to have an ADR for like 9... even 8:30 is quite late for us. (We'd manage with a later brekfast and lunch though! And lots of snacks HAHA)

Try for the 8:15 or 8:30. The show is only about 25 minutes, but everyone leaves the park at the same time and you might get into the turnstile crunch. If you get out of the park at 7:30, you'll have plenty of time to get to Canada.

I would say no...only because Disney sells dinner/show packages for Fantasmic. If you didnt book one of these packages, you have to get into a line for available seats after the people who had the package get seated. You should be in line approx 1 hour before the show (or more).

If you have a 4:30 ressie, chances are you wont get seated until 4:30 - 5:00pm. You will be there at least an hour. (I was there with a goup of 6, we had apps, entree and dessert and it was over about an hour and a half.) Thye you still have to get out of the park (IG or Main entrance are both abut 20 minute walk..)then get over to DHS and to the show stage.
