Hi,
What is the before/after time window to arrive for a reserved meal? If I have an 11:40, how early/late could my party arrive?

Thanks!

Disney asks that you arrive 15 min before your ADR. There is no official grace period for arriving late. 90% of the time they will still be able to accommodate you if you're running late, but they don't have to do so, can turn you away, and still charge the no-show fee since you missed your ADR.

If you are trying to plan for a late arrival, look more closely at your touring plan. I have found that if my plan is so tight that I am worried about arrival times for meal, it is too tight, and that is a stressful vacation. I don't arrive late for ADR's but I have been wicked close and it was not a pleasant experience. The one time we were late, we had a meltdown with one of the kids and the concierge called to let the restaurant know. They accomodated us as a courtesy, but we were waiting a long time before they could seat us. I would never do this a part of my plan for the day becuase we ate, but it was late, and I am not at all sure we would have been seated if not for that call from the concierge. This was in August and was a FD period. The restaurants were booked solid.

Thanks! My issue is that I am usually too early for appts, etc and end up waiting more than I should.

I'm like that too. I'm always too early for everything. I started an internship a couple weeks ago and I was the first person in the parking lot almost every day my first week :upsidedow :rotfl:

At least in Disney, if you're too early for a reservation, there's usually something around to entertain you for a few minutes if it's too early to check in. I'll look around a nearby store, walk around the area and take some pictures, just enjoy the atmosphere, etc.

I am this way as well and some restaurants at Disney have refused to check me in until 15 - 20 minutes before hand (50s PTC is coming to mind off the top). On the flip side, I have ended up wanting to eat a half or more before my ADR time and they have accommodated me. It really depends on the restaurant and how booked they are at that given time, I think.

If you plan to arrive 10 - 15 minutes prior, you should have no problem at all.

The stickler on time is BOG - I think we showed up about 18 minutes early and could not check in. ( We were there and knew we'd get a pager upon check in so thought we grab it and check out some of the shops and take pics while we waited ). One other time we showed up at Yak and Yeti a half hour early - we wanted to see if we could get in earlier because we were hungry then - it was a slow time and they sat us right away.
