Hello Disney Campers!

It's been a while. We are making a somewhat like business trip to FL in late February and missing the Fort. We missed our annual trip last year and would like to stay this wintertime if conditions allow.

I hear you can come without a mask now as long as you stay out of the buildings....so can this be clarified, please?

So on boats to the MK you're good? That is considered open I assume?

What about on attractions? Say like Snow White, Toy Story, Flights of Avatar? Would part of the line you would have to wear a mask and part of the line you would not?

What is the percentage rate of people wearing them inside the comfort stations and Trading Post?

What is the status on the pool? I heard they were going to refurbish it next year.

I'm not looking for a debate; don't turn this political. I'm just wanting some answers to my questions so that I can decide what is best for my family.

Thank you.

Ilovedisneymm My understanding is that masks are required on all Disney transportation. That is what we will be guided by next month. Someone recently posted a picture somewhere of the entrance for the line into 7 Dwarves Mine and the sign indicated that masks were required form that point forward

Thanks all!

At one point, for a few months, they removed the mask mandate for the parks....I believe. I'm curious if there is a plan to remove restrictions soon?

Any additional info on the mandates/restrictions is much appreciated.

Thanks!

The boat depends on the type of boat that you are on. If it's one of the boats that have an indoor and an outdoor area, you have to wear a mask if you sit in the indoors portion but not on the outdoors portion. I highly suggest reading the "Know before you go" page on the WDW site as these things are always ever changing. There's an overall page for WDW and then pages for the individual resorts. At the time of me typing this, 11/3/2021, masks are only required indoors (indoor stores, indoor queues, indoor rides, inside busses, etc.) There are signs in the ride queues where they transition from outdoors to indoors. Boats , are no mask outside, so it depends on the boat. If its the newer, bigger boat you have to cross the inside part with mask, then remove it when you get outside( if you want to). Lines are usally signed, so when the line goes inside, mask on untill the end. On the outside roller costers they wanted masks for the ride also. CMs were quick to note and tell people politely to mask up. I saw 100 compliance after that.

Well looks like parks are out...again! Unless something changes by then.

What is the pool refurbishment dates? A while back I read they would have the main pool closed for all of 2022?

This is what is posted as of today 11/4/2021 in the refurbishment link:The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort | Walt Disney World Resort (go.com)

From January 9, 2023 through early April 2023, Meadow Swimmin' Pool and whirlpool spa will be closed for refurbishment. The water play area and Meadow Snack Bar along with the Wilderness Swimmin' Pool and its nearby whirlpool spa will remain open for your enjoyment. You may see and hear construction noise while this refurbishment is underway, but you should not hear noise from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 AM. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Thank you, Bishoparc.

I did click on your first link and it was to the general Disney site. The link you just posted above is directly related to the fort and that is what I was looking for. Much appreciated.

Hopefully everything will be done and the Meadows pool reopened by April 24th
:tink:

The link says 2023 - is that supposed to be 2022? Otherwise, that is an extremely long heads up they are giving us (and Disney is usually averse to giving info too far in advance.

Can you clarify about that outside roller coasters? If the ride if outside, are people masking? I thought it was only for indoor attractions and/or lines.

In the lines they want your mask on at a certian point. Usally when you enter a building. But even rides like the people mover, splash, big thunder , that are basicly all outside, you needed a mask as a certian point in the line. They want you to ware the mask on the ride untill your are clear of the exit

. Only place not needed was like on the safari. So, mostly all stuff you need a mask on.

Just looked back at some pics, JC no mask, tomorowland speedway no mask, and I dont remember for slinky dog. Everest was definitely a mask, i almost lost mine on it.
