My question is for anyone with a grasp on travel time it takes to get from the resort we are staying at to the parks. We will be at Beach Club Resort in a few days. I see that we can walk to Epcot (yippee!!) or water taxi there as well as MGM. I figure my kids will want to ride the monorail to MK from Epcot. Downtown Disney LOOKS close on the map, but I am thinking it will take a lot more time to travel from Beach Club to it than I am thinking. My kids and I are sitting here planning our days 'in the world' and I am wondering how much time to allow for traveling to the parks.:moped: Anyone have any idea?

Aside from Epcot and the Studios, which you can walk to from the BC, you should allow 45-60 minutes to each park. It may take less time than that, but 45-60 minutes will allow time for you to:

walk from your room to the bus stop, wait for the bus, board the bus, ride the bus, get off at the bus stop at the park you are going to, walk from the bus stop to bag check and the turnstile, and enter the park.

There is a website called ourlaughingplacedotcom and they have a "transportation wizard" which allows you to choose your WDW starting point and destination. It will give you all the different transportion options and the approximate time each takes. I use it all the time - it's especially great for help in planning ADR times when going from park to park or park to resort for dinner.
