Time to visit for Christmas

My most FAVORITE time to visit Disney is the first week in December. The temperature is still moderate, the crowds are low, the parks are decorated, the Osborne lights are in full swing and we LOVE MVMCP!!

Unfortunately, our kids are getting older and it's becoming really difficult to take them out of school so we now go when they have a four day weekend from school, early November. No Christmas party but hopefully, we'll be able to check out MNSSHP.

We went & were really there over Xmas (Dec. 19-26). It was fantastic to actually be there for Xmas eve dinner & Xmas day. (I planned carefully & got every ADR I wanted that entire week). The day we arrived was the final night of MCVMCP...what a wonderful way to start our Xmas week!

I would love to do it again in the future! :santa:

Anytime beginning the Sunday after Thanksgiving and ending about 6 days before Christmas if you want to avoid huge crowds. Christmas to New Years is the most crowded week of year.

Our favorite is the second week of December, but this year we are doing the first week.

I'm going to go with the week before Christmas because after that last MVMCP, all the special Christmas shows/parade/fireworks run in the MK and you don't have to pay an extra ticket price!:thumbsup2

We went last year the first week of December and I would not consider the crowds low by any means, especially in the Magic Kingdom. It was packed everyday we went.

:) You alwasy have to avoid MK the first weekend of Dec due to them filming the Christmas Parade. It is a huge crowd so you cannot get past Main Street. However you can take the train to the back of the park if stuck there. We didn't know about the filming and were dumb stuck when we went in the gate and saw the crowd. But the other parks are great and fun. MK is good that weekend at night if there isn't MVMCP....Like the PP just plan ahead.

We were also there the 19th thru the 26th. Lots of pre-planning and all our ADR's were booked...All in all I think the crowds were very mild to moderate. We wouldn't hesitate to book that week again.

New Year's Eve is more fun than Christmas. It's also a madhouse at most of the theme parks.
