Well with only 20 more days till we surprise our kids with a Disney trip, what is on your must pack list.

We have two kids DD 6 and DS 14 months

Any ideas or tips

This is our first trip to Disney

Are you flying or driving? That makes a huge difference in what you can bring. We always drive and we always bring a huge shopping bag full of snacks and breakfast foods. Also a case of water bottles. We grab 2 or 3 before we head to the park so we don't have to buy drinks.

Otherwise, for fun stuff we bring autograph books and pens, pins and lanyards, mickey ears, our penny press books and change. Sometimes I bring cheap glow sticks to pass out at night but they do tend to break open or leak if bent too much or chewed on (just thought I'd mention this since you have little ones).

Have fun!

Have you figured out how your going to surprise them yet? :goodvibes So exciting....

And yes if your driving or flying it does make a difference in what you can pack. Agrees with water and snacks for if your driving. That helps a whole lot. But either way they are still kids and need to be entertained. So definitely things like reading books, Maybe some coloring books, some dolls or action figures. Depends on the plane but maybe there will be a movie to watch.

Thanks for the quick replies, Here is some info

Live in BC, Canada..... so we will be flying arrive Friday at 11:10 am into SNA we have rented a car from Thrifty.com great rate.

We are booked in at the BW Park Place for 5 nights with 4 other families. (13 kids and 10 adults )

We have a PS for Ariel's Grotto for 4:40pm on the friday, Friday is a relax day as will be up at 3:45 am.

We have not told our DD yet and still don't know how we are going to tell her. We were going tell her in the morning but since we have to be at the airport at 4 am I don't think that is going to work as she is not a morning person.

Next plan was to tell her in Seattle when we board the Disney Express plane. But with 11 other kids knowing, and having them keep it in for 4 hrs somebody will spill.

So if any one have ideas that would be great

When my little cousin was 7 a few years back my aunt took him to DL for the first time and the way she told him was that they were going on a trip to visit her long time friend Mickey.

Dont you remember Mickey? Oh well he has a friend named Don and Mickey has a dog... you dont remember?

Had that child thinking for hours...

My mom loved that her neighbors actually planned the trips, packed the bags and everything and told the kids, "Hey, how would you like to go to Disneyland today?" and then just got into the car to go! (Luckily the kids said "yes!")

I don't know what to do with such an early morning trip, though. Mystic_path's idea is hilarious!

My favorite thing that I did when I packed last time was put all the kids clothes in gallon ziploc bags. I separated their stuff by outfits and then put it in a bag. It helped us get ready so much faster. We didn't have to search for things that matched or search through suitcases.

As for surprises I am no help there. I can't keep a secret at all especially if it involves Disneyland.

I vote for waking her up at 4 AM and telling her "hey! Get up, we are going to disneyland!" She'll think you're crazy:lmao:

I am not a mother for good reason as you will see.

First show her youtube videos of Disneyland. Get her wishing she could go but cannot go. Get her a princess dress. Plan for the trip to the airport so that the bags are in the car and ready to go. Then tell her the family is going to go look at airplanes today and that there is a nice place to eat in the airport.

I am a Roseanne O'Connor type of mother, lol.
