Time to get from WL to FW_--and HOW???

I want to do the campfire @ fort wilderness--how long will it take to get from the wliderness lodge to FW petting zoo area??? m Also, what time does the campfire start the 1st week of October??? Planning to go Oct 7th!!

If it were me, I'd hop the boat launch at WL and ride over to FW. Boats usually run every 15 minutes or so, and the trip only takes about 10 minutes. That will take you to the marina at FW which is in the settlement area. The campfire is about another 1/2 mile from there. You can walk it or pick up either the orange or yellow bus at the Settlement bus depot. Would probably be just as fast to walk. The orange bus will drop you off in front of the Meadows trading post. The yellow bus will take you to the 1500 loop stop, then it is a short walk over the bridge to the campfire.

There is a trail between the WL and FW too. done it and it takes 20 mins or so. /nice walk.

We just got back and we took the bus from the settelment to WL. It arrived just after we stepped off of our bus. Took the boat back. It was one of the FW busses. Can't remember if it had been an Orange or Yellow. But one of them always goes to WL.
