Time to DOUBLE up!! 2 for 1 Pre-TR!!!!!!! TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED!!!!!!!

I took a few people's advice and saved a few trips on the Disney website. Low and behold I got a pin!!!!!! There are a few blackout weeks but it is basically for all of 2010!!! 20% off values, 30% off mods, & 40% off deluxes.. I'm really excited!!! I think within the next few days I'm gonna do some booking and hope the AP rate comes out with a better deal. The AP rates for the beginning of 2010 are mods for $89 a night. I hope they release more dates soon. Thanks to those who gave me a little hint on getting the pin!!!!!:goodvibes:goodvibes

So, I miss a post once in a while- sue me. (You won't get much, but you can try)

This is super news!!! I'll bet you book Poly...

I want to book the Poly but I think a mod would be better. We are going to be spending a ton of money on this trip, so I don't think I'm gonna splurge here. Check out the dates:

I still think you should treat Mel to a Poly stay. You know she'd love it. Just book later than earlier.

If you go with a mod, would it be CBR or CSR or ????

I agree--you should treat Mel and Juliana to the Poly. Otherwise, you know what my choice is in moderates...but I know you want to try something new (although I'd pick POR or POFQ over CBR).

I"ll let him know how POR is in Sept. If he can wait that long to book- which I doubt. Tim, does it have a "book by" date??

We've only stayed at the CSR (eight times) and Tim already loves it. But I think the food court at the POR and even POFQ is much better than the CBR.

Totally hi-jacking your report again, Tim. But you're used to that by now, right??

Hey, Kat, what do you like at the food court at POR? Do they have the beignets at POR too?? For breakfast, say, what is good??

Leisa, you are too funny! Tim, you know you love us.

Actually, we've never eaten at POR for breakfast, but we've done lunch and dinner a few times and love the create your own pasta station; love the grilled chicken sandwich and DH loves the Roast Beef and Blue Cheese on the dinner menu. No, only POFQ has the beignets.

WEll, that's carpy. I really want beignets, but don't know if I really want to stop off on my way to DTD.

Don't really have any lunches or dinners planned here either.

We have stayed twice at POR and plan on staying in Jan again, I completely agree the roast beef for dinner is fantastic. If I remember correctly the bakery counter at POR is very good and a lot of the items can be a snack if you are on DDP. Your right, beignets are only available at POFQ, but the walk from one food court to the other is only about 10-15 minutes so you can work off the beignets after you eat them. :lmao: Even though nothing you eat at disney actually counts. :thumbsup2

I've discovered there's a lot less to plan when it comes to a trip to DLR. I'll be starting one at the end of January-ish. I have the hotel, I have the airfare. We're going! :thumbsup2 But you don't really need priority seatings and you can only do them 60 days in advance...so there's not much to do right now.

Hummmm... LOL I really would like to do a week at the Poly someday. I will just have to save for 4 years to do it! LOL

I'll give you a hint, it starts with C. C--?

Mel doesn't love the theme of POR. I'm not sure how I feel about the bright buildings of CBR... but what I like doesn't count. LOL

Well I have to book it before I go. This trip is only 3 months away 3/2010. I guess you can tell me about POR when you get back though! LOL :rotfl:

That is the problem I'm having.. I have nothing to report about now. I think once the holidays are over I'll have a lot more to discuss with all of you!

Although I was thinking about calling Disney tomorrow to book the room for the 2 nights that I will need it.:surfweb:

That's not too bad of a walk. Do they still rent bikes there? Maybe just ride over, get your beignets, then ride back? :confused3

Remember that pic in my TR I took of the Mickey bar? It's only 40% of your daily fat intake (or something like that). Hopefully you would be able to walk those calories off! :goodvibes

Of course what you think doesn't count. But I'm with you--I don't like the bright buildings of CBR (nor the Nemo rooms)...but that's just me. Our computer at home is having major issues and I tried logging in on a different "user" name and I used Mark's and the desktop was the CSR--how we both wish we were there now and out of this 9 degree weather.

We got some of the cold you have last night. It's going to be 35 here today after 50 yesterday. 8 day forecast doesn't show it getting over 30. We spoke to Mel's cousin last night in Florida. He lives just outside of Orlando and said it was 85 there. UGGGG I wish I was there right now too! :cool2:

C...? That helps a lot; really narrows it down- eliminating at least 2. No, 3.

Dork.

LOL... I'm thinking it's gonna be CBR. Try something new and have a Nemo room for Juliana. Plus if it is warm enough the kids area at the pool is really cool.

I like the theming here a lot, but ruled it out cuz of size. I knew we'd be at the parks a lot and late, and didn't want to have to walk 5 miles every time we came or went. At that point, we didn't know if maroo would be driving or not either. Still don't for absolutely sure.

It's actually a really nice walk. They do rent the bikes at POR, but I had a bad experience with a bike. DW and the boys thought it would be nice to rent a bike at the Boardwalk area, so I agreed and we rented the bike where the kids sit in the front because they were not tall enough to reach the peddals. So we are off and I was going strong, DW said she was helping too but I knew she wasn't. Needless to say, by the time we got around the loop once I was really feeling it, we get around to the furthest point from where you return the bike and I had to stop, at this point I think I needed someone to bring some oxygen, :lmao: we made it back and I said that was the first and last time for that! (I am happy to say I have dropped a lot of weight this year and may just try it again):thumbsup2

Congrats on getting a pin. :dance3: I'm still waiting for one to find it's way over to my mailbox. :rolleyes1
CBR is a good choice. A lot of walking but... those guilty mickey bars.popcorn::
Please don't flame me but what is a beignet? I looked on allears but didn't see it?:confused3
