Time to DOUBLE up!! 2 for 1 Pre-TR!!!!!!! TRIP REPORT HAS STARTED!!!!!!!

Potty training:

We started buying REALLY CHEAP diapers. Because wet cheap diapers are NOT comfy. The other option is to just let her run around the house half dressed or nekkid. Assuming you have hardwood floors ... ;) Leave the potty chair in the room she'll be in. Set a timer and make her sit on the potty every 10 minutes or so?

Can you use Disney as an incentive? "You need to be a big girl to go back to Disney so no more diapers?"

Cheap diapers.. sounds good to me! LOL That could work. I've been waiting for the warm weather so she could go nakkid. Hopefully she will let us do this.

We tried the every 20minute route.. After she sat on the potty, 3 minutes later she was wetting on the floor. I couldn't believe it! LOL

We tried using Disney... no dice. There is nothing I can offer her that will get her on there.:confused3

I agree! As a person with a degree in education with an emphasis in early childhood, do not use pull ups! They really are glorified diapers and confuse children because they are so similar. Take one weekend and dedicate yourself to taking her every hour and she'll get it :)

I hope you're right!!!!!!:goodvibes

Haha, I was checking in to see how the planning was going.

Apparently my grandmother potty trained me wayyyy too young while my parents were gone for a weekend. I was easy I guess!! The only problem is that my parents would then have to get up in the middle of the night with me because my bladder wasn't big enough yet! :rotfl:

You will probably get a ton of advice from lots of people and it will all be so differen t. Just do whats right for you. For us, that whole set them on the potty every so many minutes never worked. Some people feel if they do this they may be more stubborn or regress. Others swear by by it. For me, it just didn't work. They all went when they were ready. All my kids did pullups at night for many years. Bed wetting runs in the family, so I never had an issue with it. We also never did pullups till they started going potty then put them on only becuase we didn't want an accident. Especially while out and about. Rarely did my kids have an accident. But if I put them on them before they were ready, they were used as a diaper.

I will take bed wetting over this nonsense! But I know when she is ready she will do it!:goodvibes

Our friends are on their way to CT and will be here late tonight. I have our houses narrowed down to about 12 with house #2 in the lead. Hopefully it will still be available. I have to explain the tickets to them and try to see where they would want to eat. Few of the choices that I am going to suggest to them are CRT (L), CP (B or D), Kona (B), 'Ohana (D), Akershus (B), Le Cellier (D), 1900 (B or D), Chef Mickey's (D), T-Rex or Rainforest (D), Beaches & Cream (L), and Raglan Road (D). We will be eating most breakfasts at the house before we go so we will probably do 2-3 breakfasts out.

I think we are just going to do Disney but we might do a day at Sea World. Those plans are still up in the air.:goodvibes

MMMM Tonga Toast! I haven't added that to my July trip yet ... I may need to make more changes LOL

Your plans are great well the air plans :rotfl:. Great choices on the restaurants. Hope it all goes well.

Have been trying to catch up with your PTR but its hard between work and adorable almost 18 month old princess :goodvibes

Love your plans so far, which resort/neighbourhood are your favourite villas?

I think we will be staying at Windsor Palms, seems to have same stuff as Windsor Hills but cheaper and hopefully less busy :thumbsup2

I was doing the same thing.... liking Windsor Hills but the wallet likes Windsor Palms better. We actually found a house in Windsor Palms that we really like. Hopefully we can get this squared away this weekend!:goodvibes

I hope the weather holds out for them. They are having a birthday party outside tomorrow for the kids.

Plans look good so far. The dining suggestions look really good.

Just finished your March trip report and loved it!! I was just wondering what kind of camera do you have? Your pictures are so clear and colorful, and I need to buy a new one before my trip in August. Thanks!!

Loving everything so far! Keep up the good work :) All your plans look fabulous, especially the Akershus. We loved the food there! Be sure to ask for lefsa, the traditional flat bread of Norway. They will give it to you, if you ask :)

Thanks for reading! I have a Sony Cybershot H5 super zoom camera. I like it but it does leave a lot to be desired. The flash takes a few seconds to charge and sometimes is very slow. :( I am thinking of getting a DSLR for my next camera at some point this summer. Possibly a Canon.

Thanks for reading my TR!!!!:goodvibes

Sounds interesting. How do you pronounce lefsa?

We got some lefse at the Kringla Bakeri in Norway and it was :scared::scared: I don't know if it was supposed to be different, but it was cold and hard and GROSS.

Hey Tim, just wanted to let you know that you are mentioned in my '1 month from today' today! :)

Sea World would be a fun day trip! Kona- Best breakfast of the trip- 2nd runner up that I dont see on your list is Ohana Breakfast- it was REALLY good!! LOVED leCellier- besides Narcoosees was our favorite dinner. IMO I really didnt like Askerhaus... They really rushed us. It could have just been that day. I also didnt like how they had a cold buffet and then they brought you some hot items... we had wanted more eggs because for 4 of us they didnt really bring enough- and she ended up bringing them after we paid and as we were heading out the door. Just my experience though!!

Maybe we will try 'Ohana breakfast in October. I think we are going to MK 2 times in 4 days so this might work for one of the breakfasts! We had a good experience at Askerhaus.... when we ordered seconds they brought them over right away. Maybe your waitress was just a little 'off' :stir:LOL
