Time to cancel ressi now 48 hours?

I thought I had read somewhere that if you did not cancel your ADR 24 hours prior you will be charged $10 per person in your party for no-showing. I just made my first ADR this morning and on MDE it tells me I must cancel 48 hours prior to not incur the fee. Is this a change or was I just incorrect? I do not plan on cancelling (or if I do it will be way before 48 hours prior) but just wondering. Thank you!

In most cases it is not even 24.

It does appear that in most cases, if MDX says 48 hours, it is incorrect. You should remember that there are SOME reservations for which the 48 hour cancellation does apply. The only one I know of for sure is the Candlelight Processional dining package - that is definitely 48 hours.

Thank you for the information. So, ultimately, it says I should refer to the cancellation policy outlined in my confirmation email. And... my confirmation email says nothing about a cancellation policy!

Oh, well. I'll just make sure if I decide to change I do it prior to 48 hours before.
