Time stores open at DTD

Hi All!
Do the stores open when the official DTD "park hours" open or do they open on their own schedule? Our DTD day, MDE has the hours at 8:30 AM- 2 AM and I'd like to get over there and get shopping early, but I don't want to be sitting for 2 hours if they don't open at that time. I've never gone at "opening" before so I never really paid attention before! Anyone know anything about this?

Adding that, with all the construction currently going on for Disney Springs, make sure you have your transportation laid out ahead of time. Parking can be quite a hassle. Buses are tenuous also.
