Time required for Hoop Dee Doo

We haven't been to HDD in a few years and are excited to go on our next trip. However, we also want to see Fantasmic that night. Our HDD is 6:15. Realistically, what time should the show at HDD end? Could we possibly make it?

Typically Fantasmic has two showings, so you should definitely make the second one with no issue.

I do not think you could make the first showing, if the first showing is before 9pm.

The HDD show typically is a little less than two hours.
The issue is not so much when HDD ends, it's HOW you are going to get from HDD to Hollywood Studios.

Having your own (rental) car is probably fastest. If not:
If you are willing and able to take a Minnie Van, that is likely to be fastest, they will pick you up pretty much right there.
Otherwise, you could get a Lyft or Uber, but you would have to take the bus to the main part of the campgrounds to get picked up.
Otherwise, you are held hostage to the various bus/boat options, and the luck of the draw as to how long it takes.
Also realize that a bunch of other people will be trying to do the same thing.

I agree, the issue will be getting from HDD to DHS. Minnie Vans are the only transportation that can pick you up at the Settlement, which is near the HDD theater. Otherwise you will have to take an internal bus from the Settlement to the Outpost, where the parking lot (if you have a car) or the bus to DHS (if no car) will be. Or you can take a bus from the Settlement to Wilderness Lodge and catch the bus to DHS there.

You should be walking out of HDD at about 8 pm - if there is a 10 pm Fantasmic, you might make it, but, as others have mentioned, getting transportation from HDD to DHS is not easy. I would try for a Minnie Van. If that doesn't work, I would do bus to Outpost or WL and lyft from there. I would seriously consider trying to do Fantasmic another night, however.

Unfortunately it appears that there is only one F! show each night at 9 p.m. while we are there. I'm hoping that they add another one. Otherwise, we will just have to do Fantasmic on a different night. Thank you all!

If you end up having the evening free after HDD, perhaps consider booking a horse carriage ride. We went to the 6:15 pm HDD about 2 weeks ago and I booked an 8:30 pm carriage ride for after the show. Our carriage ride ended at 8:50 pm and we walked over to the boat dock from there - if the MK fireworks are at 9:00 pm and you get on a boat around that time headed to MK, you get a fantastic view of the fireworks!

your own car would also be parked where you meet Lyft or Uber so you would need to take the bus tom other end of campground. Minnie Vans are only vehicles allowed near HDD

HDD is so much fun, wouldn’t want to stress during it worrying about making it to Fantasmic. I’d def plan on another night if possible.

IMO many people seem to be wanting to catch boat to MK/transportation center after HDD. We enjoy just hitting up MK late those nights.
