Time is running out!!!!

I switched my ressies the other day from SSR 1 BR to Wyndham Bonnet Creek 2 BR. I've read very mixed reviews about this place, so I've continued to explore my options.

I've found Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa next to the outlet mall, Blue Heron Beach Resort, and Vista Cay by Millenium. Some of those are starting to look pretty good.

LBV Resort Village and Spa - 2 BR Suite
Blue Heron Beach Resort - 1 BR w/ 2 bunks and Q Sofa
Vista Cay - 2 BR Condo

We will be there Dec. 9th through Dec. 16th. All the above resorts have availablity right now (might change later in the week). I have until Dec. 6th to cancel the ressie with no penalty. Our traveling party is me, DH, and MIL.

I haven't had much luck searching for these places, so I'd love to hear anything you have to say about these places! Thanks

Personally, I wouldn't pick a 1br anywhere if travelling with other adults. I've never stayed at any of the places you mention but I've heard only spectacular things about BC. It's very new so you won't see old, outdated, worn furnishings. Also it's surrounded on 3 sides by Disney property so you won't have to travel 10 miles to get to WDW. I would love to stay there!
Where did you read mixed reviews and what specifically were their complaints?
Remember, some people will find fault everywhere they go.
I read a review (for another place) that their big gripe is that they waited 10 mins to check in. If that's the only glitch in a whole vacation, they should count their blessings.

I forgot to mention, somewhere on the Dis I read their are so many wild teens/youth at Vista Cay that it's been given the nickname, "Vista Lay."
I can't comment from personal experience though.

I'd think that you'd be really happy with Bonnet Creek. I've also seen some mixed reviews, but most of the poor ones seem to be from people who aren't used to timeshare resorts.
Bonnet Creek is one of the few Orlando area timeshare resorts that might lure me away from my favored Marriotts or DVCs.

I might go with LBV resort.

It is next to my favorite outlet mall and it is nice.

problem is they are still building - but you will have the same problem at WBC.

now I have NOT stayed there yet - it isn't a timeshare - so no really deals.

Most of the bad reviews were from Trip Adv==== The major complaints were horrible smells and pushy sales people.

Thanks for everyone's replies and suggestions. You've helped me to narrow it down between WBC and LBV Resort Village and leaning towards keeping my ressies at WBC. I can save about $200 by switching to LBV....

I looked up the 15 most recent reviews on TA and none were negative or rated below a 4*. Do you have to delve deep to find a negative? Most people who complain about very nice timeshare resorts don't understand how TSing works. They agree to a tour/presentation which they later regret. I am a timeshare owner so I know when "the pitch" is coming such as... free breakfast, offer for an information session, desk for tickets, register for such and such, etc. Just say no. Unplug your phones in the condo and just use cell phones. We do this at every ts we stay. Also keep in mind it's not a hotel; they don't clean your room, empty trash, bring clean towels, or replace paper products that run out. You give up these services for the extra space that a timeshare resort provides. For people with kids, this is a Godsend. Like I told my bro/sil, think of it like you're renting a house at the shore for the week. The homeowner will not come and wash your towels for you.
If you want hotel services like room service, beds made, fresh towels daily, etc. then you should look for a hotel or you might be disappointed.
You will need a car b/c even if they offer a shuttle, they're usually not very frequent and you give up a lot of freedom in exchange which makes a lot of people unhappy.

depends upon the timeshare - Disney will do a towel and trash every 4th day of your stay - on the 8th a complete cleaning.

Sheraton will clean your room on the 4th (might be 3rd) day.

all the timeshares I have stayed out - if you run out of paper products - they will bring you more - you just have to call maid/housekeeping.

despite loving Disney - if I am not staying onsite at Disney - some distance helps.

LBV is close to not only my favorite shopping mall

also when reading reviews on trip advisor - remember that the competition can make places look worst or better.

if you read a bunch of reviews (by different people) one is negative when everyone else is positive. take the negative with a grain of salt. Same way the other way - if you read one positive with a bunch of negative - would not stay there.
