Time from airport to resort?

How long does it usually take to get your bags and get to your resort using a limo or van service?

I usually factor in about an hour to an hour and a half. But I have done it in less time, but only when we rented a car. When you use a shuttle service like Mears, you have to go to the Mears counter with your luggage and tell them where you are going. Then they send you to the curb where you wait for the next van. Sometimes a van is already there, but when we used Mears on our honeymoon, we had to wait about 20 minutes for a van to show up. Then, depending how many are in your party, the van gets loaded and you all get in and the driver takes you to your resort. We were staying at the Grand Floridian for our HM, so we were last to be dropped off. We shared the van with guests staying at the Swan. I think the drivers work from the outside in...AK resorts would be first, then Epcot, Downtown Disney area and MK resorts last.

Now if you use a towncar service (which I haven't done yet) the driver will meet you at baggage claim. So once you have your bags, your driver will take you to the car, load it up and off you go. I imagine this would be the quickest option. Car rentals are quick, but only if you use a company that is IN the terminal. We used Alamo in 98, and had to take a shuttle to the Alamo depot, get in a line, then we got the car. It took us about an hour and 15 minutes to get to our resort. In June 2001, we used National (which is in the terminal). My DH got the bags while I got the car. We were at WDW within 35 minutes of our plane landing.

So as you can see times vary, but I hope I gave you some idea of what to expect.

Adding in waiting for luggage, getting luggage, finding limo, traffic, etc., I would allow at least an hour to an hour and a half between getting off the plane and arriving at your resort.
