Time frame for sending purchases to resort

Is the cost to ship items home reasonable?

It depends on how you define "reasonable." For us it's easier to ship merchandise home because we fly and space is limited in our luggage. Also, I would rather have Disney pack and ship fragile items because if it arrives damaged they will replace the item. We were not charged tax since it was being shipped out of state so that helped to offset some of the shipping cost. We usually keep a running list of items we want to buy and then make a large purchase at one of the bigger stores like World of Disney or Mousegears and ship it home.

Looking at one of the receipts from our trip last October the shipping charge for $175.00 in merchandise was $17.95, but tax would have added about $11.50 more to the $175 amount so shipping it home only cost us about $6.50 more than if we had carried everything back with us on the plane. For us the cost is reasonable.

I don't think a day would be enough time for them to get to your resort. They told me it would take 1 day and a half for purchases to get to the resort on our Feb. 10th - 12th trip so I sent things to the front of the park and picked them up there when we left the park on Friday and Sunday.

If we park hopped, I picked them up and put them in a locker at the next park. I only needed to do that on Saturday since we only park hopped the one day.

Thanks for the explanation! I was wondering in case I find some cute garden decorations from F&G that might be too heavy to put into my suitcase.
