Time for Universal to airport?

We have never stayed at Universal, and we usually rely on ME to get to the airport. If we leave MCO at 1:54 on the Sunday after Easter, what time should we be leaving the resort (Royal Pacific)? We will need to check bags, etc. Should we stick with the 3 hours?

If I remember correctly it took less time to get to the airport than it does from WDW. I would stick with three hours if you have to return a rental car. If you have a car service you could probably do 2 1/2 hours before your flight. I'm one who would rather be safe than sorry, so personally I would stick with the 3 hours no matter what.

I agree - I'd rather spend time waiting at the gate than having to race through the airport.
