Savi's is not in the budget this time, but I thought I'd surprise my 11 year old with a ressie to build a droid.
We will likely Rope Drop every day, leave the parks for a break around 1 or 2, then return for the evening.
Current posted hours for our Disneyland day are 8am to 12am. (the first week of May, but not on a Star Wars party night) Since we're coming from the Central Time Zone, I expect we'll be alert in the mornings, but start dragging in the evenings. Probably depends on how well we nap....

What time would you schedule it for? How difficult would it be to change at the last minute?

You might want to find out here if reservations are even necessary. Before we have just walked in and made droids when we were ready. I’m not sure if that has changed recently.

We were there last week. We did the same as you, rope drop with a mid day break and then back to the parks for however long we last. I ended up making our reservations for 9:10 pm because I didn't want to have to have to carry them around for long. It was nice because SWGE is not very crowded at night. They happily built them and even got the backpacks to carry them around. We stayed in DL for about another hour before we headed out for the night.

As for the reservations, I didn't make ours until the day before because I didn't know what time would work best for us. It seems they had all reservation times open the day before, so it's not like they go fast. I do know that they will take walk ups, but I didn't want to chance being turned away.

Ok. Thank you! I think I'll skip the reservation, and see what we want to do when when we're there. It's such a long walk from the front of the park that I don't want to end up making a reservation then having to backtrack to get there. Toontown being closed makes it harder. (ETA: Nevermind, toontown wouldn't make it easier anyway.)
