Hi Disfriends :) Hoping for some expert advice here. We are heading out to California in mid-May and I was wondering if it would be possible to hit both Universal Studios and the Warner Bros Studio tour in the same day. We are staying out in Big Bear Lake so trying to cut back on the back and forth transportation. If we did Universal first thing in the morning and went to the last studio tour of the day, do you think we would miss a lot at the park? Our main points to hit would be Harry Potter World and the studio tram tour. Looks like weekend hours are from 8am-10pm which (to me) seems like more than enough time, but I have never ventured to a Universal park before. Thanks in advance!

I would plan on all day for Universal since Harry Potter will be open by then.

Universal is going to be crazy busy and there is no guarantee that you will even get into the Wizarding World right away, even if you arrive at opening.

If you want to ensure that you get to experience most of Universal in as little time as possible, I suggest buying the Front of Line Pass. The pass will get you to the front of the Line at all the rides and will get you immediate access to the Wizarding World. However it is still unknown if the pass will get you to the front of the line for the two rides in the Wizarding World.

Universal warrants a full day, especially with the crowds that Potter will bring to the park. I think you will end up feeling rushed if you try to do both in one day.

Universal is a full day theme park. WB is a 3-4 hour visit. If you try to do both you'll be rushed, may miss some things at both and not enjoy as much.

Thanks all. Glad I asked! Looks like we will spend my husband's birthday at universal and do the tour a different day. The last thing I want to do is feel rushed! We have looked at the front of the line passes but waiting to see if they can be used for HP world before buying.
