Is there a time difference between disney magic and cozumel? I'm booking a dolphin swim and I don't want to book to early of a time b/c of a time difference.

I believe Cozumel is central time. One hour earlier than FL. The ship changes time as it passes through new time zones. You will be reminded in the Navigators of all time changes. I hope that helps you.

So does the ship switch to the same time as cozumel or will cozumel be 1 hour earlier?

All I remember is that while in Cozumel we changed times and the next morning was our Character Breakfast, we had to set our clocks BACK and it was awful having to get up early for the breakfast. We stayed up late with the deck party. Went to bed, five minutes later it was time to get up for the character breakfast. I took pictures of my dd's. Their eyes were all bloodshot!! :rotfl:

The ship changes it's time to the local time. If your excursion is scheduled to scheduled to start 9 a.m., it will be 9 a.m. local time, which is now the same as the boat's.

Even if we are not doing an excursion with the ship. We booked on our own. sorry Im just confused and I want to make sure we will not miss our swim. The ship is said to dock in cozumel at 10:30 and the swim is at 12:00.

When you go to bed Tuesday night after leaving GC there will be a note in your room to remind you to set your clocks back an hour. IF you do that when you wake up you will be on Cozumel time. The ship docks at 10:30 Cozumel time. You will have plenty of time to get to an excursion at 12:30. When you go to bed after leaving Cozumel, you will then "spring" your clock forward an hour. Just like daylight savings time at home, only it is happening in two days :)

I know it is confusing. The ship changes its time as it passes through a new time zone, both on the way out and on the way back. When there is a time change it is posted as a reminder on your navigator (just like your local newspaper reminds you to change your clocks during day lights savings time). It is also part of the Captain's announcements. They will tell you whethere to move your clock forward or back an hour. Our server also reminded us at dinner whenever there was a change. You could always check with your stateroom host or hostess to make sure you have it correct. We did the Eastern and both time changes occurred over night, so you just have to make sure you change your clock before you go to bed. But, rest assured. When you dock at Cozumel, the boat will be on local time. If it is 9 am on Cozumel, it is 9 am on the boat when it is docked at Cozumel. Hope you enjoy your swim.
