time change

I was reading the board on cruisecritic and some people had trouble getting back to their ship on time from their privatly booked excursions. They said the problem was the difference between the ships time and Grand Caymans time. I was under the impression that the ships time changes with where it is docked. The problems seemed to be on other cruise lines besides disney. Does Disney have a different policy. I need to find out because I want to book stingray city and want to make sure I have enough time to get back to the ship.

Disney reminds everyone the night before landing at the Grand Caymen Island that the clocks will be moved to CST.

Your Stateroom Host or Hostess should change the time on the in-room clock. And, as mentioned earlier, DCL does print reminders in the Personal Navigators and on separate sheets of paper left in the staterooms.

Is there a time difference in Nassau? I'm looking at booking something through another company, but don't want to miss my time.

Nassau, St Marteen and the US Virgin Islands are in EST. No time change on those cruises

Now I'm really confused. The site given in thegales' website says that there is a time change when going to St. Marteen and then again from St. Thomas to Castaway Cay. Who is right ?

St Thomas and St Maarten are in the Atlantic Time Zone (U.S. East Coast + 1), but they do <b><i>not</i></b> observe Daylight Savings Time.

So from the first Sunday of April to the last Sunday of October, there is, for all practical purposes, no time change.

There <b><i>is</i></b> a time change when you sail between the last Sunday of October and the first Sunday of April.
