And we haven't FINISHED the job in Afghanistan, and thanks to the war in Iraq, we really can't because of troop strength.

wvrevy, do you disagree with Krauthammer's point that Bush could have chosen to consolidate his immense popularity after the success of the Afghan invasion?

It's one of the gaping holes in the Democrats' argument that Bush invaded Iraq for his own personal political gain. To the contrary, Bush had to make a difficult decision that has obviously given enormous amunition to his enemies.
