Booking a reservation for Flying Fish and need to finish to be at the YC for 8:00. Would I be safe with a 6:00 reservation? I'm thinking that 2 hours is a good rule of thumb for a signature restaurant.

If you have to be at YC at 8 pm, I would do a 5:45 pm FF ADR. It gives you 2 leisurely hours to eat and 15 minutes to walk over to YC (or catch a boat if there is one at the dock).

thank you all for your quick responses! I ended up booking a 5:45 reservation because I tend to be a 'lil anxious about timing and this gives us a little wiggle room should we need it!

I'm thinking this would be tight. A 6:00 ADR means you probably won't bet seated until 6:15 or so. Figure a good 90 minutes for a meal (which shouldn't be rushed at a Signature) and you have little time to dawdle getting yourself over to YC by walking or boat.

5:45 is better IMO. FF Should be a leisurely meal, and the walk to the YC is a nice stroll after dinner, so I woudl not liek time constraints to be a problem. ENjoy dinner! FF is one of my favorites!

We are usually there about 90 minutes. If you get an ADR at 5:30, even if they are running a little behind, you should be fine and not haave to rush at all.
