Timandlesley's ROAD TRIP TO DISNEY!! ARE WE THERE YET!?!6/28 TR is up, link on pg.47!

Oh, my goodness, we eat that dip all the time - it is our favorite! What a terrible night, but thank goodness you didn't get it too. That was a great GADD project. I wish something like that had been available for us, but we are making the Give a Hug snugglies so the kids can all help. Great that you got yours finished and now you are all set.

So glad you didn't get the food poisoning. I had it once and that is the sickest I have ever been in my life. I ended up in the hospital, too, as someone else said, but thankfully just for the day.

You were brave to make your way to your 'Give a Day' assignment alone. The food seemed easy enough to put together, but being woman enough to get it there by yourself and not back out under uncomfortable surroundings earned you those tickets. :)

I'm looking forward to yet another wonderful trip report from you guys.

Yuck, how awful about the poisoning! Thankfully you didn't eat any and were able to take care of your family. How awful if you had ALL been sick!

Glad you were able to successfully and safely complete your service project, and everyone is healthy again!

Glad you were able to do the 'Give a Day' before the promotion ran out. Sorry to hear about the food poisoning... how awful.

The meal you prepared looked delicious. Can't wait to hear about the kids' surprise.

Just found your PTR tonight!! Excited to read another wonderful report from the Tim & Lesley crew:thumbsup2

Wow-food poisoning:scared1: Luckily you did not eat any of it.

All your ADR's look great!! We leave on 4/30 (just DH & I) for our 25th anniv. We are trying Teppan Edo for the first time but also enjoying favorites like Tutto, LeCellier, Kona etc. We LOVE Boma for breakfast & dinner but not going this time. Also trying the deluxe dining for the first time. I am thinking it may be too much food but will enjoy it I am sure. Do not blame you for going with the basic dining where you have other trips planned.

Looking forward to another update!! Love the Tim & Lesley reports. I have been a big fan for a few years now.

YUK to the food poisoning! Hope everyone is feeling
well. Can't wait to hear the surprise in your next post,
I'm sure it is something fun and exciting!!:goodvibes
Thanks, glad we are feeling better too! I would post the surprise this morning but Luke is right here in the room : )
How scary about the dip :scared1:. I have a friend that's daughter got salmonella poisioning and ended up in the hospital. Glad that everyone recoverd quickly.
Oh no, glad we didn't end up in the hospital, counting our blessings.

Lesley, How nice of you! Graeters---:cloud9:--- that place is fabulous! DH grew up in Cincy so he knew what it was. I on the other hand had no clue until the first time he took me there. Boy, it is no place for my diet but the ice cream is heavenly.

Too bad about the dip. I am glad to hear that everyone is better now.

popcorn::Can't wait to hear more.

Erika
I know, Graeters is the BEST! We just enjoyed ice cream there Friday night, so lucky to live so close to it (and it can be a curse too ; )

Oh my... what horrible timing for the poisoned dip!!:sad2: Glad you had an easy enough meal that you could prepare it yourself. (Even though delivering it yourself sounded quite scary!!)

Can't wait to hear about the surprise!!popcorn::
Surprise coming up : )

Food poisoning is some nasty stuff! Glad to hear that they all survived. WHEW!
I'm sure that the people at the homeless shelter appreciated your dinner and the thought and care that went into preparing it.
Yes, it was definitely nasty stuff!
Oh my goodness! I am not sure which is scarier -- the family ending up with food poisoning from the French Onion Dip (who would have thought?) or you having to deliver your food to an iffy part of town! All's well that ends well, though, thank goodness! :goodvibes
Too funny, yes BOTH were a bit scary:scared1:
Wow! Thats awful about the dip! I can't wait to hear about the surprise
Coming up soon Nicole!
oh wow. That sounds awful

Did Kroger give you your money back for that dip? I hope so

Glad you were able to get it all done anyway and get your certificates :goodvibes
No, they didn't give money back because we didn't have the dip anymore. We called the Deans line on the receipt and they took our info and said they'd call back but never did. I'll have to post a picture of our certificates, they look pretty cool.

I am on board for another great PTR from you guys!!

So sorry to hear about the food poisoning--that is the worst! Glad you were able to get your Disney vouchers, just in time too!!

Cannot wait for more of your plans!! :goodvibes
Welcome back!!! Glad you are here to read along, thanks for posting.

Very interested in the surprise!

So sorry about the food poisoning. I have a recall item here to take back to Kroger, luckily we did not get sick from it.

BTW.. I saw you all went to Clifty Falls, how was that? We used to go there a lot growing up, but I know they have changed it a bunch. That would be a fun getaway!
Glad you guys caught it and didn't eat it.
Clifty was AWESOME. They have renovated the rooms, the lodge and the pools both inside and out. We used to go there as kids too. The lodge is really nice, lots of walking trails and a nature center within walking distance, trails to the big falls, really nice. The beds were super comfy and the pool inside was real nice with a hot tub and if you were to go in the summer the outdoor pool looked nice and even had a slide.:thumbsup2
Lesley
Wow the food poisoning sounds REALLY terrible. Thank goodness you didn't eat any or your household would have been insane! :scared1: I'm so glad everyone got over it. What bad timing! You really earned your free Disney day! Something tells me that your crowd will never eat french onion dip again! ;)
Yeah, it was really terrible, so thankful I didn't eat the dip! Yeah, and the sad thing is that's my FAVORITE, will be hard to eat it again though ; )

I know, it's our favorite too! Glad you were able to find something for GADD, how many snuggies do you have to make?

So glad I didn't get it too, Tim was the worst of everyone he got REALLY sick ! He kept saying "something is REALLY wrong with me!" and indeed it was:sad2: Yeah, I just had to get the project done and delivered, that was a crazy day!
Thanks for reading and posting:thumbsup2

I am glad too, I can't believe it's already over, Disney needs to extend it in my oppinion.
Surprise post coming up soon.

Well thank you and welcome back! Your ADR's sound sooooo yummy. Part of me still wishes we were doing deluxe, but it is allowing us to do some other things that I will mention in the surprise post plus we were able to put a lot of the money towards our GrandHaven Michigan trip this summer too. We are blessed enough to travel a lot in the summer, so every bit of money we can put aside helps. Plus the amount of money it costs to board the dog is ridiculous, it will be over 400 dollars when we are in Disney:scared1:
Welcome back, thanks for reading/posting!
Lesley

Salmonella? That is AWFUL!!! I bet you're so thankful you didn't eat any of the dip. Glad to hear you earned your certificates and for such a great reason too!! :) Good job on the meal Lesley!

Wow. My busy schedule has pulled me away from the DIS for far too long, but luckily I managed to find your reports again and I'm joining in!

Sounds like you've had quite the experience planning this trip already!! But it's sounding like its gonna be a great one.

I cannot believe how much it costs to board Mickey!:scared1: Are you boarding him for Kiawah, Grand Haven and New Jersey too? Maybe you could negotiate a discount with them because that is a HUGE amount of money they are making off of you. Maybe after all of the boarding is done they could take some money off or give a couple of free days? You obviously are giving them a TON of business? Just a thought!!;)

Well, I'm glad you found your way back to the Dis and our report : ) Yes, should be another great one, glad you are along for the ride:thumbsup2

Hey Diane, yeah, we are paying $26 a night, it adds up FAST. We have to pay it for Kiawah and Disney and Jersey, not for Grand Haven, he goes with us on that trip. I was thinking of talking to the owner, but I don't know if they will negotiate they are always busy and if Mickey doesn't take the spot someone else will, but it's worth a shot.

Glad you got your Give a Day Get A Disney Day papers. It's crazy how fast they went! We are already doing the March of Dimes walk in Cinci and the day I went on the Disney site to sign us up for the program they had reached their goal!

We got back from Disney about 2 weeks ago and we did see Mr. Cinco, didn't meet him personally, but watched his interview and saw him drive by in the Motorcade. ESPN the Weekend was awesome, a lot more fun than I had expected it to be! Tim and Luke would love it I'm sure. You get to go backstage to play sports stuff and have meet and greets....we're already hoping to go next year with our son!

Kristen

P.s you were right, being able to walk to EPCOT was awesome. Now I want to stay at BLT so I can walk to Magic Kingdom or take the Monorail. Every time we passed it I wished we were staying there!

oh my gosh....poor Leslie and poor family....what was worse...helping everyone else or wondering when you were going to get sick??? To me that's like torture!!!

But I am happy you managed the task at hand anyways...and all by yourself!! God Bless!!!

ETA: Note to self...never buy Dean's French Onion Dip!!!

So sorry about the food poisoning. I had that probably about 8 months ago. I know how it feels, it's awful.

Great about the Give a Day get a day! Well, not the part where you actually had to deliver the food though. Does sound very scary!

I can't wait to hear about the surprise.popcorn::

I hate to hear about the food poisoning. I had that from some Chinese food, ruined my New Year's Eve.

Looking forward to the surprise.

Yeah, it stinks too because Dean's French Onion Dip is my fave!

So sorry everyone had food poisoning.
Can't wait to read about the surprise :)
Thanks!

Sorry about your food posioning, I've been fortunate to never go through that myself (knock on wood : )

I hate to hear about the food poisoning. I had that from some Chinese food, ruined my New Year's Eve.

Looking forward to the surprise.
EWwwww, sorry about your New Years Eve!

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a good week. I am counting down the days until Spring Break, only 6 more school days and then we hit the road for Kiawah Island South Carolina:cloud9: I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

So............ I promised you a SURPRISE in this update.
This is TOP secret from the kids. Tim and I were talking and we wanted to take our time driving down this summer and he said "what about doing Universal".......... well I called, got quotes and it is just CRAZY expensive because we would want to stay on site to get the express pass (since it will be so crowded due to Harry Potter this summer), that came to around 1000 bucks for 2 nights, NOPE, wasn't going to do that.
So we came up with Nick hotel. The kids ALWAYS beg to stay there. I got us a 2 bedroom kids suite with the kids bunks for the night of the 14th, we'll leave Cincy on the 12th take our time driving down and get a hotel somewhere on the 13th then drive to Orlando and stay at the Nick hotel on the 14th, WE WILL NOT TELL THE KIDS, WE ARE JUST GOING TO PULL INTO THE PARKING LOT OF THE NICK HOTEL AND YELL "SURPRISE WE ARE STAYING HERE!!!!" I'm even more excited about this now because Luke just said tonight as we were watching a preview of the kids choice awards "mom, my DREAM is to be slimed!" WEll.... they have sliming every day at the pool at 4pm:yay: Can't wait to see their faces. On the 15th (my birthday) we will go out for a nice dinner (hopefully Charlie's steakhouse where we ate on our honeymoon. YUMMY!!!) and we will stay at the Buena Vista Suites (also where we honeymooned). Then we will check into Animal Kingdom Lodge on the 16th.
Another trip update. I was listening to last weeks disunplugged podcast and was thrilled with some safety info. As you know, we've lost Lauren in the parks before:scared1: SCARIEST moment EVER!!!! AND this year we won't have the stroller so we need to keep CLOSE tabs on her. Well I am going to buy temporary tattoos with Tim and my cell phone numbers on them, check out this website, TOTALLY worth it!
http://safetytat.com
I already told Lauren we are doing it and she was on board. I'm hoping we NEVER have to use them but it will give me a peace of mind.
So, that's the latest update, if you want some extra "timandlesley" reading, check out my blog: www.livinglifeaslesley.blogspot.com
Have a great night guys!!!!
Lesley

What a great surprise for the kids! They are going to love it! :cool1: I tell you, I was very impressed when I heard about the temporary tattoos for the kids. Whoever came up with that idea is pretty sharp. I don't have small children anymore, but know people that do. So, I'll be sure to tell them all about the tattoos.

Have a great time on your Spring Break trip! :)
