Timandlesley’s how to win a dream in 10 days 11/15 NEW PTR UP!! pg. 94 has link!!!

sounds like another great trip - your kids are adorable - cant wait to read more!

Great installment and great fun that day!! LOVE the ears!!! Congrats! We were there that morning too, but I think we were on the other side of the park in the morning--we started out in Tomorrowland that morning. That's why we missed each other!!! ;) Looking forward to more as usual!

Great update!! Thanks for keeping them coming so quickly (as soon as I get home from work I check to see if there is an update)!:thumbsup2

Just love all the pictures of early morning CP breakfast. That is one of the BEST tips for visiting MK. Nothing beats walking down an empty Main St, and being totally ready for rope drop too! Congratulations on the Dream Ears too.:cool1:

I think you may be headed to Fort Wilderness:confused3

Enjoying the report!

I especially related to you telling about your DD's first ride through Haunted Mansion. My youngest DD is now 13, but when she was about 3, she went on her first trip through. She did fine until the ride stopped in the hallway of mirrors where the "ghost" jumps into the Doombuggy with you. Well, she didn't like that ghost at all and so at the top of her lungs and with all the bravery she could muster, she hollers, "Get out NOW!" :lmao:

Another awesome update!!

I can't believe how empty Crystal Palace is, that is great!!

Love the shots in front of the Castle

Score on Dream Ears:cool1:

Glad the kids enjoyed Haunted Mansion.....:goodvibes

I love cliffhangers and trying to guess what is next:hyper:

Renting Mice Boats?
Horseback riding??
hmmmmmmmmmm

Great Pics, you all look great in your t-shirts! What a fun morning, there is so much to do in MK and it's great having short lines. We usually go back for a mid-day swim but for some reason I think you did something else now what could it be :confused3 Linda

congrats on the dream ears! I'm hoping to do a rope drop at MK this year - we have never done that. We were at the parks by 10 am last year - just when my youngest was falling asleep for his first nap...ugh. Next trip, I have planned on getting something to go at Main Street Bakery - that French Toast Loaf is calling my name. I want to do Fantasyland first - I think the lines are way to long for those rides so it would be good to get them out of the way first. So, I have now made some notes...Small World, Peter Pan, Philharmagic, Tea Cups and Dumbo. Any particular order??

Yeah!!! The dream team!!!! Congratulations! Love the installment..sounds like you got to do a lot in the time that you were there! The free corndog is a replacement for the stolen spraybottle :lmao: Don't worry....whoever stole your spraybottle didnt get Ears or free food! ;)
You havent mentioned the weather or if its really hot...I am assuming its pretty warm during the day???? :confused3

Lesley!! I can't believe I am just now seeing your trip installment!!! Great start by the way!!!:thumbsup2

Woo hoo for Dream Ears!!! That's awesome!!! party:

I am so sold on the early ADRs at the parks after doing it at the AK -- next year I am scheduling as many as possible :).

Hurray for Lauren enjoying Haunted Mansion -- it's my favorite ride!

Another great update. I for sure want to do Crystal Palace for Breakfast next trip... before the park opens! It would be so fun to get in early and soak up an empty Main Street. Great job Tim in predicting the Dream Team Location.... they were quite busy that morning at "It's A Small World";)

Glad the kids were okay with the Haunted Mansion.... I had the same conversation with Hannah, who liked it a lot!

Glad that Splash Mountain got its wait time under control too. I thought that day was crazy busy early....

I think the horses are at the Whispering Canyon... I missed eating there this trip...

Lesley, Tim, Luke and Lauren, it was so great to meet you at Chef Mickey's. The girls and I feel famous for making it into a Tim and Lesley TR. With a picture even! So far it sounds like a great trip - besides the crabby monorail driver, the stolen fan, and the rude CM at TSM. We LOVED that ride!

We had a shy monorail driver. Not crabby, just couldn't get much out of him. No license for us either.

We had fan problems too. It didn't get stolen, but the batteries fell out and were lost so we had to exchange that for a new one. Then the fan part broke off and was lost somewhere, so we had to exchange that one too. It was a Disney one that we had gotten free last year from a Dream Squad member.

And we encountered a "poopy" smell too. It was while we were in the holding room at the Little Mermaid. Not a good place to be stuck with that smell!

We had no idea about the tornados until we were leaving MK late that night. DH had said it looked like it was going to get stormy so we headed over to Philharmagic. (Also known as Philharmonica by someone in line close to us). There was a 20 minute wait but we decided to go ahead and get in line. We missed the whole thing while in line and watching the show. When we came out it was just lightly raining. We ran over to Small World and by the time we came out of there it was just drizzling. Worked out perfectly for us! :)

Congrats on the Dream Ears! We didn't win anything this year, but that's okay. It was an awesome trip! Always is - that's why we keep going back. We tried to journal things this year because Abby (my oldest DD) wants me to do a TR. I'm not sure. We'll see.

:offtopic: We'd love to try to meet up with you in Grand Haven - just for an ice cream cone or something on the Boardwalk.

Can't wait to hear more about your trip.

Alice

ANother great installment! Did I read correctly - you guys had never been on HM before?!? That's my fav ride in MK!!
I should have clarified, we haven't been on it since we've had kids, it's been a long time for us and a first for the kids, first as a family.

I just love reading your trip report! :goodvibes Looks like you all had a fantastic time at Magic Kingdom!!!:thumbsup2
Erin
We did, thanks for reading/posting.
Wow, you all had a awesome morning at the MK!!

I cannot believe the short waits. I guess that is what you get for being the early bird.::yes::

That is great you all got to ride the HM for the first time. It is one of my favorites.

I did notice the word maerd. I had no idea it was dream spelled backwards.:rotfl: I just thought it was a misspelling or something. You're too clever, Tim. ;)
The waits when you get there first thing are slim to none in fantasyland for that first half hour.

We love Cp. We'll be eating dinner there next month, but breakfast is always great too! I'll be trying that "trick" of asking for the check as soon as we sit at the buffetts, it seems we wait longer for that than anything else!

I will also be trying the ride small world first thing in the morning too. We are usually at the parks for rope drops, maybe it will work for us too. Last year we were able to win Dream FP's at Ak, that made our day at AK such fun!!! We had always just spent a half day there but that day we were there for about 6-7 hours!!!!
CP is a nice restaraunt. Yes, asking for the check up front was great. Dream FP's at AK, how cool!

Great installment!! You just reminded me that fast passes can be used even after their time window. Is that correct? Even the next day or two??

Congrats on the Dream! Tim needs to become some kind of "Dream Guide" for folks. He knows how to hit it just right!

Can't wait to find out about "fun time". Hmmmmm......
Yes, they can be used after their time window, just not before. Tim did sense them which was nice.

Great score on the Dream Ears. :thumbsup2 goes to Tim for getting the vibes!! :goodvibes

:lmao: with Lauren's "come to mama" comment! That is to funny and you got one handsome Luke on your hands there!!

CP looks sooo pretty. We had ADR's for our last morning there. :( too bad we had to cancel! But atleast I can live it up through the trip reports :) .

Hmmm wonder where you guys are heading????? :confused3 Can't wait to find out!
Thanks for the kids comments. CP is beautiful, next time you go you have to try it!
I didn't realize that y'all had never ridden HM before either. That's my one of my favorites.

Great score on the Dream ears. Ok, and I missed the hint. :headache:

I'm guessing that you might have gone horseback riding, and maybe had smores at Fort Wilderness. :scratchin
It was cool to experience HM. Glad you are having fun guessing what is coming up next.

Thanks so much for the tip envelope idea ~ that is a great idea! I know that DH is going to be bummed about the tip changes, I think if I put the $ aside early and just hand it to the server that this will ease the pain some for him!

I also think the idea about getting the check early for the CP is a great one.

Thanks for sharing ~ I have to say the Crystal Palace is one of my FAVORITE places in the whole world. It is so hard to choose though, because I wrote the same thing after seeing ya'lls pics from 'Ohana:rotfl2: .
You are welcome, glad I could help, that tip cards/baggies helped us tremendously so I thought i'd pass it on.
Congrats on winning a Dream. I Would have never thought to go to SMall World first. love the new castle pics and the matching shirts. We just bought those from Disney Store last month. Looking forward to what Tim had planned for afternoon.
Thank you. Those shirts are so cute, I just love them. So sad our Disney store is closed.
Enjoyed reading about your MK morning...:thumbsup2 Congrats on getting the EARS!!! How exciting!!

Great idea about getting the bill when you order!! I will make sure we do that since we have 8:05am ADR's for Crystal Palace.

I am taking notes on what rides to ride at opening!!

Can't wait to see what the surprise was???
Thank you! Glad you are enjoying the TR and our tips are helping.

Yeah! another great update! :cool1:

Again, your plans are so similar to ours....We have early ressies at CP this time and I was wondering if the boat would be running that early. Now I know to take the bus!!! And I will make sure to ask for the check early!

You met the Dream Squad! I saw the "Meard" on the TV and thought "what is that?" lol very funny!
Glad I could help with the boat vs. bus, wish I knew ahead of time.
I was so excited to come here and find another update:banana: ...and it's awesome, as always!
You pointed out some HUGE tips that I definitely need to remember for our next trip. The baggie idea with the tips, and ADR info is so super smart!!! And the tip about asking for your check ahead of time for buffet meals is genious!!! Never would have thought of that. Lastly, thanks for telling us about taking the bus from the WL for early character meals. These are all something that I definitely need to keep in mind for our next trip! Thanks again, Lesley!
So glad you are enjoying the updates and the tips. Thanks for posting/reading.

I love reading your trip reports!:goodvibes

We love going to the Crystal Palace for dinner. We haven't been for breakfast, but I would love to try it on our next trip.

Can't wait to hear the rest of your trip report!!

The whole family is so photogentic!
Thanks, glad you are enjoying it.

I'm finally caught up, GREAT TR so far!!! I've enjoyed your TRs for the past few years!!

You are making me miss the WL SO BAD!!! That boat from MK really was the best. And being so close to CR and the monorail. Loved it, I can see why your family keeps going back!!

Can't wait to read more!
Glad you have enjoyed previous reports and have found us once again. I know, I just love the WL it is the BEST
i always LOVE MK days!!! :woohoo:

this is too cute!

yay!!! :yay: i swear this is the same girl that came running by us at MK our first night right before wishes jumping around and screaming "fireworks! fireworks!!!" she was so cute!

ray's been talking a lot about having kids lately. i think he just wants them because he wants some dream mickey ears! :lmao: i know everyone says it doesn't matter if you have kids or not, but i don't believe that. i've been to disney 3 times in the past year and never once won a dream. it helps that you guys have CUTE kids too!!! :goodvibes

that's really gross!!! why do people do this? i don't get it. :confused3

can't wait to see what you guys have planned!
Isn't that gum gross, I couldn't believe it. Actually we did see two different times this trip when people got ears that weren't with kids so there is hope!

We had lunch that afternoon at the CP! Very cool about the dream ears! I swear I was on the look out the whole week, and never saw them! I did see one man that morning walking back and forth in front of Winnie the Pooh ride.

What a great morning and Lauren got to ride the rides this year! That didn't seem right about the 60 min wait that early at Splash, glad it was way less!

I think I know what the mighty mice are... very cool!
Great update as usual!
Sorry you didn't see them, that's such a bummer. Thanks for reading.
We are having such a fun time reading your report - its the truth, its actual! :)
Everything is Satisfactional!!!! : ) Thanks for reading.

The stamina your kids have amazes me , you were in bed at 10:00 the previous night and that is early, and were able to get up at 6:45 the next day:worship: My girls were up till 10:00 on Saturday and Sunday was a write off as they were so tired, may I ask how much sleep do your kids normally need?

Really enjoying your report and pictures, glad you are meeting the dream team.

Lisa
Disney stamina is different than other stamina I guess. Normally they sleep about 10 hours per night, at Disney it's 8 hours a night and for Lauren usually a nap in the afternoon. We do have ONE day to sleep in, but that's it : )
Lesley
Congrats on winning the dream ears. Tim really does have a nose for sniffing them out doesn't he! ;)
He does indeed, glad I was with him : )

wheeeeeeeeeee!!!! Dream ears!! :)
Ok that gum..GROSS!!! I really do want to see if they got rid of that..who would do that???
I agree, that gum was disgusting, if I would have seen anyone "adding" to the collection I would have had to say something.

Love Magic Kingdom!! We went in May and stayed at WL. We had 8:05 ADRs at Crystal Palace. We decided to take the boat to Contemperary and then walk to Magic Kingdom. It was maybe a 5-7 minute walk and it was nice to enter a different way. They didn't have us wave our napkins at CP, must be something new.

Lauren is cracking me up with her pictures! Love it!

That gum is so gross! Can't wait to see if they take care of it.
That is a different way, guess you can get there either way.
I'll update you on the gum, no worries.
You have to be the luckiest family ever! What a great day so far!
We do indeed, thanks!
yeah free stuff, i love free stuff and free stuff at disney is the best.

you have me stumped as to what you are going to do for the afternoon, but i guess i will just have to sit tight and wait to find out.
I love free stuff as well. Hang on tight for the next installment to find out!

How exciting! Dream Team ears! SO cute! I love being in the parks when they are empty. Especially during evening EMH. It's so quiet and the music is playing in the backround. You feel like you have the park all to yourself. I bought the same shirts that your gang is wearing for my family next time we go to WDW. I am now planning a grand gathering with 10 people!:scared1: I must be crazy! But, like you, I enjoy the planning just as much as the trip itself. That's a shame the Disney Store closed near you. We are the only store in our area. I'm excited about going "home" to the WD Co. because of all the "perks" we get now. Although, I'm very sad about those who lost their jobs at the closing stores. How are you gonna get your "fix" now? Online shopping is not the same! :( FREE CORN DOGS!!! Yea for you!:thumbsup2
I agree, LOVE having the park to ourselves. Good luck with the grand gathering. What perks do you guys get now?
Just popping in to say how much I'm enjoying your trip report! Great job!
THANK YOU!!!!
I just love reading your report it makes me so excited for my upcoming trip in August. August 17-25 Beach club Villas here we come.
Oh, that is where Luke is DYING to stay next trip, let us know what you think.
Great update!! After you mentioned how Tim spelled dream backwards,I think I know your plan;) I'm anxiously awaiting the report of your afternoon. I hope we get to do the same thing in August!:goodvibes
The Dream spelled backwards was for this dream installment, the t.v. on this installment is for the next one, stay tuned.

I'm hooked. Please finish before we leave.
How do you post links?
MY DH is starting a PT for us. He's done a couple of "journals" of european trips, and even if I am a little biased, they were quite good. So I told him to do a Disney TR. That meant he has to do a little bit of a PTR.
Thanks, you are too sweet. Unfortunately there is no way I'll get it done in 9 days figuring I'm breaking our days down into 2 installment for each day, I've been trying to do 1 update a day but that still is a total of 20 posts so it will be awhile. Hang tight.Good luck with your TR, have fun.

Great day at MK , I love MK it's my fave , love CP but only eaten lunch there and that was fab , but I think breakfast may be on the cards for Feb , Congrat's on the YOAMD Ears . Can't wait to read more
CP for lunch sounds good, we've never done that. Thanks for reading.

Loving your trip report so far!!! That is awesome that you got a dream. All of that gum at Splash is so gross . I can't wait to read more.

Melissa
So glad you are loving it. I know, wasn't that gross.

YEAH!! A dream!! Gotta love the Magic Kingdom, it's where we won all our dreams too! Our dream giver was so flattered that we asked to take our picture with him too!! So happy for you guys! That is funny about "dream" being spelled backwards. I looked at it and thought "oh, it just must be that the font is smashed together and thats why I couldn't understand it!:rotfl: Smores, that can only mean 1 thing!!! Looking forward to more!popcorn::
YEAH! I hope Matthew was excited for us : ) Smores, stay tuned : )

Awesome trip report! Can't wait to hear what you did instead of naps!!!

Good stuff...keep it coming!
Thanks so much, glad you are enjoying it.
you're welcome! Always glad to bring more readers over. I tell them how great y'all are.....and you ALWAYS deliver!

They certainly are! They are still so cute though!
Thank you, I appreciate it.
So, I think I speak for everyone when I ask -

When will you begin planning for your next trip?

I think your family is the talk of the DIS these days! :)

Looking forward to the next installment! :)
We talk about it every day, we shall see, stay tuned!!!

LOVING your trip report! Those shirts are my fave, I remember them from your PTR, you all look so cute and coordinated!! We love CP for breakfast as well and I love hearing about WL, we are hoping to stay there on our next trip!!! Can't wait for more!
Thanks, so glad you like it and enjoyed the PTR. I hope you make it to WL, it is such a great resort.
I didn't realize you had moved this to a TR so I was way behind! LOL! I had to take the afternoon to get all caught up. :) What a lovely trip so far. I can't wait to read even more!
So glad you found us and are enjoying it.

OH!!! You are such a tease!!!!
Oh I know, isn't it fun!!!
sounds like another great trip - your kids are adorable - cant wait to read more!
So glad you are enjoying it, thanks.

Congrats on the dream and how cool to be the first family on IASW :)
Thank you, yes it was fun.
Great installment and great fun that day!! LOVE the ears!!! Congrats! We were there that morning too, but I think we were on the other side of the park in the morning--we started out in Tomorrowland that morning. That's why we missed each other!!! ;) Looking forward to more as usual!
Thanks,it was a great morning. Hope yo uhad fun in Tomorrowland that day.

Great update!! Thanks for keeping them coming so quickly (as soon as I get home from work I check to see if there is an update)!:thumbsup2
Thanks, I am trying my best to keep up and keep everyone happy with updates. I know I like them when I read TR's.

Yes, getting to be on an empty Main street ROCKS!!! Stay tuned on your guess.

Enjoying the report!

I wouldn't do Small World first necessarily unless you want to be first riders like we did, I would do Peter Pan, Dumbo, Pooh, Philarmagic, Small World, Tea Cups, but that's just me ; )

Yeah!!! The dream team!!!! Congratulations! Love the installment..sounds like you got to do a lot in the time that you were there! The free corndog is a replacement for the stolen spraybottle :lmao: Don't worry....whoever stole your spraybottle didnt get Ears or free food! ;)

So glad you enjoyed the update. I hope they didn't get the ears or food either : ) Yes, it is super super hot all morning/afternoon but luckily each evening was nice and comfortable, upper 70's I guess. PERFECT
Lesley!! I can't believe I am just now seeing your trip installment!!! Great start by the way!!!:thumbsup2
So glad you found us.

Woo hoo for Dream Ears!!! That's awesome!!! party:

I am so sold on the early ADRs at the parks after doing it at the AK -- next year I am scheduling as many as possible :).

Yes, I did one at each park this year except Epcot and it was awesome.

Alice
Hi Alice and girls! So glad we could add you to the TR, it was very nice meeting you as well. Glad you guys had a good trip, sorry about the Dream Team, but these trips are all dreams aren't they. We would love to meet up with you in Gatlinburg for ice cream. PM me and we'll set it up:thumbsup2
Lesley

great update and pics.

congrats on the hats.

That was Dream spelled backwards? Good...I thought my vision was getting worse! I kept trying to read that over and over again and just thought it was me!:rotfl2:

And...on a personal note...HM is my FAVE ride at Disney! I don't know why, just something about it! Everytime I hear the music from it on the CDs or on Disradio, I can not wait to get back!

And congrats on the Dream again...I've been 3 times in the past year and haven't even SEEN a member of the dream squad (or whatever they're called!) L-U-C-K-Y!

Can't wait for more!

Great TR, I always enjoy reading yours. I love the tip about asking for the check up front. This was the worst part of last years trip with family. We always paid with cash, so we could just leave our money and go. My mom and her DH paid with their card and it took sooooo long to get their bill settled. I hated that part. I will unfortunately not get to read all of your report before we leave for our trip (Saturday). But Im hoping to get at least a couple more updates.:cool1:
