Tim Tebow

Broke Elway's record for most passing yards in a playoff game.

Elway laughed and said "Love It" when he was told :goodvibes

Actually, Elway threw for 385 yards against Cleveland in 1989 and then 336 yards in his final game in the Super Bowl.

316 has a slightly different significance, as does his passing completion rate 47.6

This was directly from ESPN, so I will believe their statistics. Perhaps I have the particular stat wrong.

But one I do know is correct that they listed:

He is only the 3rd quarterback in NFL history to have 300+ yards passing, 50+ running and no turnovers.

Elway challenged Tebow to 'pull the trigger' today and boy did he ever.

1990 AFC Championship Game

Super Bowl XXXIII

John Elway, in his last game, passed for 336 yards and ran for a touchdown to earn most valuable player honors as the Broncos became the first AFC team to win consecutive Super Bowls since the Steelers won XIII and XIV.

The reason 316 is significant is that book and chapter of John (3:16) and the other stat 47.6% ; Psalms 47:6

Green Bay won the Super Bowl last year with 15 players on injured reserve and then Woodson and Driver getting hurt in the game.

316 is also the day the Babylonians conquered Jerusalem, Caligula became Roman Emperor, the first liquid-fueled rocket took flight and the day James Madison was Born ....one can link anything to anything.....

That aside like I always maintained Tebow would never win consistently unless he learned how to become an NFL passer, yesterday showed that he is learning...But this week the Donkeys have to go into New England and not only face a team that had an extra week to rest but have also added McDaniels back into the fold to fine tune an already beast of an offense. The Pats D is the only thing that has me worried, but I have confidence in Belichick and his ability to adjust....As the saying goes up here in New England "In Belichick We Trust"

McDaniels??? :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

Thank goodness he is going back to New England. Maybe he can destroy the Pats just like he did the Broncos.

The ONLY good thing he did was draft Tebow. He gave away all the other excellent Denver players.

Like Tebow fans wouldn't point that out if it was Tebow with the bum leg and Denver without their running back and several key players out or playing hurt also.

Eric Decker was hurt and didn't play.

but I think Demaryius Thomas picked up the slack a bit :lmao:

You are forgetting the fact that McDaniels built the current Patriots offensive system, it hasn't changed since he left...he is stepping into a system he built, the very system that produced the 2007 season where The Pats had a perfect regular season and put up insane offensive numbers......Sure McDaniels may not be a good head coach but he is an AMAZING Offensive Coordinator....

Wow! What a wonderful football weekend! I loved all of the games. All of the teams I was pulling for won their games! I am absolutely THRILLED that Tebow and the Broncos won!!!!!! :thumbsup2 :woohoo:

Today is a another big football day at our house because our college team is playing in the championship game tonight!

GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Actually, there were a few key players out, or at least limited, for Denver. Brian Dawkins was out with a neck injury. Eric Decker was hit in the knee by James Harrison and left the game. Von Miller spent some time on the sidelines.

BUT, a great team can still win with injuries, so while it's an excuse, it's not a good excuse. See: last year's Packers.

Injuries are part of football, part of the game.

exactly...!!:thumbsup2

I hate Ben - he should be in jail.

Go Broncos! You gotta whole lot of people pulling for you!

I am originally from Pittsburgh and don't feel right rooting for the Steelers because of Ben. So for now I have adopted Tebow and the Broncos, especially because I love seeing people get so excited. The love/hate thing is so fascinating.

For how banged up our team is I thought we did pretty good.

I disagree. Team played horribly. Numerous rookie type errors on defense. Several delay of game on offense. Too many in the huddle? You kidding me!

I came into this game hoping but there was just too much to overcome. Bens ankle, Mendenhall's knee, Clark's sickle cell, Hampton and Kiesel. Thats what half the team. LOL

Our back RB is a starter on just about any other team.

No excuses just too much to overcome. Ben didn't play his best but I truely think his anle is hurt worse than what he cares to admit.

This is why I put this loss squarely on Tomlins head. No "true" football player will sit when injured. Tomlin needs to step in here. Starting Ben the last game of the year was an incredible error. Especially with the game Batch had. Reinjuring the ankle cost this game.

We'll be back next year and Tebow will be gone next week.

Tebow may not be playing, but he wont be gone. Tebow will have a complete off season to build on his growth. What I saw last night a Ben type QB that needs to learn some things. He is as big, and as strong as Ben. He is more mobile then Ben. If he can learn to read defenses, develop touch, and keep his mobility, Tebow will be a talked about QB.

Steelers lost last night. Tebow benefited from those mistakes. Tomlin failed to prepare the Steelers properly. Tomlin failed to have his players ready for injuries. Harrison was juked so many times, His jock strap is still on the 50 yard line. He kept blowing his assignment in an option defense. Left Handed QB in an option will roll to his throwing arm. How many times did you see Harrison running down the line and then slipping to contain Tebow?

All this and the numerous non calls, and you arent going to win. The Denver Oline had more Steeler Jersey in their hands then the Pro Shop at Heinz Field.

Pitt was horrible.

So should the Duke Blue Devil LaCrosse team.
:confused3 You might want to catch up on how that whole story played out.

Anyhoo... I am glad Tebow and the Broncs won, but I think I might have a had a more religious experience watching Brees and and the Saints take the first step toward the Super Bowl. :goodvibes

Not that I think it will happen, but I sure would love to see Tebow go to Lostachussets and steal Darth Hoodie's mojo. :cool1:

...not to mention, the first time I discovered bacon...
