I can choose either of these guys for my vow renewal and I don't know which one to pick. Tell me about your experience with either.

Things that I am looking for are silly, but important. I would like someone that is not likely to deviate from the ceremony that is written, and someone with a loud voice because we would like to try and not have speakers.

We are not doing a traditional ceremony with the isle and me walking down. We are married already and I am not interested in that, so we are doing a horseshoe shape around us so everyone can hear and it is more intimate.

Thanks!

Kristine

We're using Tim Herring for our wedding, and based on what you're looking for, I would say go with Kevin Knox. We love Rev. Herring, but for the exact opposite of what you're looking for - we want a traditional ceremony and after meeting with him, while I know he'll do a ceremony written by the couple, he seemed to prefer the traditional.

I've heard great thinks about Kevin Knox, and i think he's much more receptive to letting the couple write their ceremony and do things differently.

I've heard great things about both.

Most girls think that Rev. Tim is a little more structured with customizing his ceremonies so you may prefer Kevin Knox in that regard.

However, girls often report that Tim is funny, sweet, and personable!

Honestly, I'd contact both and chat with them a bit to see which seems to be a better fit for your personalities.

We had Kevin Knox for our Nov 08 wedding. We met with him the May before when we were down for our planning session and really liked him. We had an interfaith ceremony and helped us do what we wanted to do.

I agree with above poster and call both and talk to them.

We used Rev. Kevin Knox and he was great! He has a wonderful speaking voice as well. He sent us a large packet with all sorts of sample ceremonies and different readings/traditions/options we could add in. Because of this, I think he is very flexible with doing pretty much whatever you want. If you tell him that it's very important to you that he does not deviate from the ceremony you plan out, I'm sure he would have no problem. I made a small change in one of his ceremonies, and he actually suggested I do it differently, but I wanted it my way! LoL! And he did what I wanted with no problem. :)

Another vote for Rev Kev - he performed our daughter's wedding in 2008 and then our VR last summer - DH and I mixed some of his prepared ceremony stuff with our own personal sentiments - I even incorporated some little "surprises" in the ceremony - momentos that I gave to my DH ....Rev Knox is easy to work with and has a great "presence" - I believe he'd be perfect for what you are looking for....
CONGRATS AND HAPPY PLANNING :flower3:

Here is a photo from our wedding with Rev. Knox. We even asked him to wear a suit instead of robes and I even asked if he had a red tie to match my girls. He was very accommodiating.

Another huge vote for rev kev! Although my vote is really for his wife Teresa Knox! We just had her and she was phenomenal!!!

We are going to go with Rev. Knox. He seems to be more likely to give me what I want. I sent them both the ceremony I was wanting to use and Rev. Knox said he liked it and could really work with it. Rev. Herring said that while he would use it, he knows that if I let him write me one I would like that much better.

But I really love the one that I sent over, so we are going to go with the one that seems to want to use it.

Thanks everyone!

Kristine
