Tim Burton's: Alice in Wonderland

a bit old for alice

don't you think

Remember, this is Tim Burton's vision not Lewis Carol's.

You gotta love the wardrobe, though! It's got the way cool "Sleepy Hollow" look.

Mmmmmmmmmm, I don't know if I will be seeing this. The only thing that looks like Alice to me a bit is the coat and I hated Tim Burton's version of Willie Wonka.

I didn't know the woman who played bellatrix lastrange (harry potter) is Tim Burton's WIFE!!!! wow cool!!!

I can't wait for these movies!!:yay: :yay:

I hated his version of Willy Wonka as well, hopefully this will be better...

Oddly enough I hated the Original with Gene Wilder but though it was by no means a favorite of mine I thought the Tim Burton Wonka wasn't bad and I don't care much for Tim Burton. It'll be interesting to see more about this Alice.

i always think of her in fight club....lol (Helena Bonham Carter).

i am looking forward to it- Burton's stuff is always out there, but I usually like it. Plus Alice is my all time favorite story behind Peter Pan. I am going as Alice for halloween to a party this year (no, not the slutty version! :rotfl2: ) and a friend is the mad hatter (ok, here's is a little slutty, but she is 6'2, everything is short on her!) and another is the Queen. :lmao:

I'm excited about it. I love Burton's movies. Wonka was my least favorite though.

Is this a movie about the Disney Dining Experience? If so, will tickets be discounted?

I'm very excited for this movie! I've loved most of Burton's films, the exceptions being Wonka (Gene Wilder IS Willie Wonka) and Corpse Bride...It should be quite interesting!

Has anyone seen In Treatment on HBO? This girl is in it and she is an excellent actress.

This looks interesting. My 4 year old definitely prefers the Tim Burton Willy Wonka. He calls it "the one with the girl". He thinks Gene Wilder is a boy and Johnny Depp is a girl. I think his heart would be broken if he figured out that he was Jack Sparrow.

Awe!!! Just wait for the shock and awe.

Also: Helena is not married to Tim Burton they've just been engaged for a really really really REALLY long time.

Now I know who she is...I thought she looked familiar but couldn't place her. Yeah, she is a good actress.

Alice is my favorite of the Disney movies and I'm looking forward to this but probably won't spend the $$ to see at the theatre, I'll wait for the DVD. I'm not all that crazy about Burton's stuff either. It always sounds like it's going to be good but then it isn't.

I find that statement interesting because Walt had a real difficult time with this particular film. Mainly because there was not a solid story; just a lot of odd incidents happening to one person. Also, he found Alice to be a bit of a whiner. Thought it might make audiences not like her. In the end he was not completely pleased with the film.

I love Tim Burton's stuff! I think I've seen them all. I like how dark his stuff is. Not "gritty-horror-film" dark... just dark enough.

I think the film will be good because he is basing it off the true story of Alice in Wonderland( I do still love the Disney version) but the true written story was a bit deranged and twisted. I also keep hearing how no one liked Burton's "version" of Willy Wonka where if you had read the book you'd see that he followed the story line more closely, where the older version deviated. I like the old version for nostalgia but I also like Burton's because he shows you the whole story. Can't wait to see Alice's full story on the big screen, I saw a hallmark version years ago that was pretty darned close can't wait to see this updated version!
