Thanks for the info. I have joined one of the dieting threads, and we are trying to do a Peep Meet for the Fun Run. I would really like to go, but I have got to keep the cost down since it will be right after Christmas.

Tell Tim to take it easy. I think he needs some wishes. :rolleyes1 ;)

;) Actually I've been taking good care of him. I was doing all the cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping and taking care of the kids, etc. etc. this weekend so he can just rest and take it easy, he's also sleeping in right now, so Wishes granted :thumbsup2

I have flown out of Cincy, but Dayton is actually about 5 min. closer and the flights are cheaper so we prefer Dayton, that is where we are flying out in June.
Glad you liked the calendar.

Okay, Okay, so as if you guys aren't already fans enough of Tim, this will make you huge Fans!!! Tim is a stay at home dad, he is a D.J. here in Cincinnati and owns a DVD Slideshow business but it allows him to stay at home with the kids. So yes, he does the cleaning and laundry, we share the cooking, so me doing all the cleaning and laundry this week was a break for him. Gosh, you guys are gonna go nuts over him now. :goodvibes

Well, I was surfing the disboards yesterday (as I am EVERY day) and I stumbled upon the thread about the changes to the Mama Melrose Fantasmic package. I guess now you can order off of the entire menu. We love Mama's but this year we decided not to do the package because you couldn't order from the whole menu and some years we were rained out and felt it was a waste. Well, now that I know (due to the Dis) that you can order from the entire menu, I decided to change things around and do the Fantasmic Package again. So now, on our arrival night we are doing the kids favorite of Sci Fi for dinner (not our favorite for food, but the kids love this place) and then on June 22nd we now have a Fantasmic dinner package for 5:10 p.m. Just wanted to update you on this minor change, maybe some of you didn't know that after April you can get the whole menu for the Fantasmic package either:confused3 - PRETTY COOL:thumbsup2
Lesley

That is great to know. We have the MM Fantasmic package booked for 4/28...but your post says "after April". Do you know where I can get the exact dates? By the way, it looks like you're going on June 22nd and that is my son's b'day :) We are a family of 4 with 2 boys (as you can see in my sig).

The link I saw said starting April 1st for the Fantasmic package so you should be just fine. Well, we'll be in the World for my b-day again this year too, we're planning on Coral Reef this year for my b-day dinner, hope it's nice, I haven't been since I was a kid, I remember it was very pretty though. Hope you have a great trip in April!

O.K., we've had a lot of requests for calendars, Tim said he can personalize them for you. If you aren't staying at POFQ you obviously wouldn't want ours, he has TONS of Disney clipart and will customize it for you, just PM us with your preferences and email address and he'll make one for ya.
Lesley

O.K. so I made a few changes with dining so here it is updated (sure to change again before we leave ;) )
I included the dinner times this time so everyone can see how my crazy mind works and our budget, hopefully not too many details for each of you, but hey, I'm a planning FREAK if you haven't figured that out yet :confused3

Thanks for the info. We have ADRs at Coral Reef as well so I'll lel you know how it goes!

Leslie,
I just found your posts, and have read through all of them... You have a wonderful family...

You're a planner just like I am, I have 3 schedules going and I sit here and stare out different options, and wonder if it is good or not.

My family is going in May, It is Myself, my DH , I have a 10 yr old , a 9 yr old and a 2 and 1 yr old. We are bringing my neice who is 19 for an extra set of hands. We are going for out Anniversary.

I hope Tim is feeling better soon, and gets so well needed rest.

Your schedule looks great.

Just one question for you... Do you stay away from character meals?
I seem to have them almost everyday either for breakfast or dinner. I wonder if that will be too much? Also have you ever gone to the Whispering Canyon? I had that in mind too.

Thanks for sharing all your details, you look and sound like a wonderful family.

Tim did a wonderful job on the count down calender... I think we are down to 67 days left...we are so excited.
Take Care,
Angela

Coral Reef was good. I didn't particularly care for the service (We had a 4PM reservation and didn't get out until about 6!) But the food overall was really good. The NY STrip was DELICIOUS (the best i've ever had) Be careful with the chicken though, you're on DDP so the portion/price ratio probably might not be cause for cocnern, but we paid OOP and it was just ridiculous for $22

We had a diver go down and hold up a Happy Birthday sign, and i ordered a cake for my brother and mom, maybe if Tim is reading this, he can get the hint! lol

Hey Lesley,

Your plan looks terrific to me, although how can it not be with TGM and your prior experience.:) Anyway, our trip is in April and we have an ADR for Coral Reef too. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures and post a TR when we get home, although I don't think I'm very good at it. My pre-trip report is not going over so well:confused3 Anyway, I'm glad Tim is feeling better. Also, I am taking my DS7 and DS5 to BBB for the "cool dude" we'll see how it goes, they are both excited to have it done after seeing some pictures! Do you have any suggestions as to when a good window might be to see if we can get an earlier ADR @ Chef Mickey's? Right now for 4/28 the earliest they have is 8:20  way too late! Any advice would be great!;) Thanks!

Diane

Sorry to take over your TR lesley, but i had to comment on the whispering canyon cafe! That was my absolute favorite restaurant of the entire trip!! I ordered the skillet for myslelf and it was just good times had by all! the service was the best in disney and the atmosphere (being at the wilderness lodge) was just awesome! It goes highly recommended by me!

Thanks so much. 67 days, bet you are excited. We do about 2 character meals per trip, we figure it is our vacation too and we see characters in the parks, the meals itself are so expensive for character dining and food not so good in our oppinion. Our FAVORITE is 1900 Park Fair at Grand Floridian to see Cinderella, we're on the DDP and it is only 1 credit. We are returning there. Last year we did Crystal palace for breakfast and it was delicious. We love Chef Mickey's to see Mickey but it's not Tim's favorite buffet, we are repeating AK Donald's Breakfastasaurus this year because that breakfast buffet was excellent and we can't wait to do it again. This way with those two character meals Lauren gets time with Cinderella, Fairy Godmother, Prince Charming and the Mice (Luke actually loves this meal too) and they both get to see Mickey and the gang.
As for Whispering canyon, we LOVE it!!! The kids love it to, it is our favorite right up there with O'Hana's, if you aren't doing that TRY IT! You have to go back and read my last years TR (link in my signature) I have pics from our Whispering Canyon visit last year, it is always a family favorite. Skim through the report to that page if you don't want to read the whole thing (of course I recommend it highly :lmao: )
Have a GREAT trip!
Lesley
