I was just wondering if Tikiman was back from his scouting trip to the World and had any news for us on the Poly rooms. I should probably let the poor guy get some rest, huh? Just looking forward to what he has to share. :)

Me,too!!!! I can't wait to see what they changed in the test room. The new rooms over at the CR look so cool. I hope the change in the Poly rooms is just as nice. We will be in the Hawaii longhouse in March, I hope they are finished by then.

Funny, I was just coming to this board for that same reason. But here's the possibly pathetic part... I really shouldn't require any information since DH and I were just at the Polynesian 9 days ago and will be going again on Saturday :rolleyes1 (did I mention I love living so close?). I would still love to read about any updated info Tikiman discovered during his trip, though! :)

Yes I just got back. Yes I am tired. Yes I saw the new rooms. No none of the new rooms are finished but very close. Yes I got photos but I have to see if I can post them. Yes I got lots of new information and I can share about 75% of it with everyone. I will have a report on my stay at the AKL, how the parks were and all the Polynesian stuff when I have had more than 4 hours sleep.

I do want to say one thing that I will say again in my report. The Polynesian looks awesome, every member of the staff from the managers to the housekeeping were more than friendly even with them being short staffed and having some guests jumping down their throats and the rehab is hidden very well to this point (no brown walls up where work is going on).

Sorry I cannot give more right now.

Aloha

Steve

P.S.
That is the last time I will stay at the AKL that I use to consider my second favorite but I will always return to there to eat.

Thank you, Tikiman, for taking the time to post after such little rest. After your P.S. comment, I'm now just as curious to read your AKL report since I was considering trying there sometime whenever DH and I could tear ourselves away from our Polynesian visits :earboy2:

I agree with your comments on how awesome the Polynesian looks. When DH and I were there last week, we didn't notice any rehab either. Just the beautiful grounds as usual :)

Steve,

Looking forward to reading both AKL and Polynesian reviews! Mahalo!

Leaving for the Poly in 3 weeks! :goodvibes Can't wait to read your reports, Steve. Wonder what happened at AKL :confused3

:sunny: Welcome back steve! :flower:

Kinda hoped you would still be there (LOOOOOONG weekend) so we might of gotten to meet you, with an overlap, just missed, again. :confused3

Sounds like you had good and bad, and a working? trip. Hope it was magic. ;) :wizard:

Can't wait to read your updates. Will keep our eyes open for you and report when we get back in sept.

Welcome Back, Steve...get some rest! Hope the whole family is able to take a vacation from the vacation! :)

uh-oh..your potential comments mirror my feelings about AKL...the resort itself was nice and we enjoyed it but we had a few bad apples (arrogant as all get out CM's) that just made us never want to risk going there again. Hope this wasn't the case for you!

I bet the Poly looks beautiful! I now wish we'd made ADR's at 'Ohana's just so we could go visit...might try to squeeze it in.

Can't wait to hear the updates!
Tara
