Tikiman(Steve)

I recently was visiting your website and saw someone posted an unwarrented negative post, directed at you. I do not intend to go into the ridiculous post, but I wanted to place a post showing support for you in appreciation for all the information you supply us within these boards. Again, Thanks Steve, from all of us.

I have not read this negative post nor do I intend to. I would just like to say thank you to Tikiman also for all the wonderful info his site provided me when I was researching my stay at the poly. As a matter of fact, I am a DVC member now and do not plan on staying at the poly anymore, but Tikiman's website is still in My Favorites on my computer because I love this website and the poly. GREAT INFO! AND THANKS!!!

Many Thanks Steve!!::yes::

Without your website my stays atthe Polynesian would have been much less magical*~*~princess: *~*~*

We based a lot of our decisions for our stay at the Polynesian on Steve's info. I just went over to his site and checked out the less than nice email he got. Yikes. I have to say that I never got the feeling that Steve 'colored' his insights based on what 'special' things he may have received. Ah well. There are always unhappy people everywhere. Keep up the great work Steve (and Rich). Without these great sites to get info from, where would we all be?? A world with no DIS, DU, Tikiman etc..??? A world of rack rates and ho-hum accomodations, that's what.

Steve has been soooo helpful with his time and ideas with all of us. I think that he has played a big part in making the Polynesian so in demand. In fact, in a recent phonecall to CRO, an agent told me that in the last couple of years, the Polynesian has really taken off. My first reaction was Tikiman!! You go Steve and know we all support you. Carolyn

Thanks Tikiman!!We also used your site when planning our Poly trip last year, and found it be excellent for information. Some people have nothing better to do than complain! Keep up the good work!::yes::

Wow! I havent read it, but after all the time and effort Tikiman has put into that site, I cant imagine anyone not being appreciateive for all his help.
As always, thanks for the site Tikiman!

Well I must say I was very surprised to see this posting. I know everyone tries to support others in here and it is become sort of like a family where people look out for others but I never expected support like this. Thank you to all who responded. As I always say the only reason I created the pages and keep them going is because of people like you who enjoy them.

I was surprised by the message left and I left it up for a while because I did not want to seem like I was trying to avoid the comments. I have made a copy of the message and addressed the issue on the other Polynesian Discussion boards (which I will not link to out of respect for the DIS) but maybe if anyone is interested I can copy the message and my response in here. I am not going to make a big deal about the one and only bad message I have ever received since it is obvious it makes no sense but I felt if I ignored it or just deleted it I was just trying to hide from the comments and I have nothing to hide from.

Thanks again. You all put a huge smile on my face this morning.

Aloha

Steve

P.S

My goal is not to prove the Polynesian is the best WDW resort. It is just the only one I know so much about. I would love to be able to make a page for every resort and I wish others who know the resorts would. I guess people like Deb W. and others who have great pages with lots of pictures and info are bringing some of the magic home for us to enjoy. That is the point after all.

I want to thank you also. I love your site. I also fell in love with the Polynesian. It felt like the right place to call home for 10 days. Keep up the great work.

I wanted to thank you too for your awesome site.

I went to your site alot while planning our last trip to show DD's all about where we were staying. This was very important to my 9yo who could not wait to see where we were going. This was their first trip staying at the Polynesian and me and DH's third.

I was well armed at check in with all the information I needed to pick the perfect lagoonview room I could get my hands on. We were in Aotertoa(sp?) room 3223 with a perfect view of the castle.

Thanks for all the work you do on your site Steve. It helped make the look on our daughters faces when the curtain was first opened in our room priceless!

It was because of his site and this one that I chose to stay at the Polynesian in 2002, rather than the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I took several pictures of the room and grounds and e-mailed them to him for others to view.

I think his site is very informative regarding the Polynesian Resort and thank him for all his effort in maintaining it.
:hyper: :teeth: ::yes::

Well I have a bone to pick with Steve. He's made his site so much fun I can't decide between the Poly and GF. I'm tortured by my decision. Where, where, where do I stay. You have a terrific site Steve and make planning a trip lots of fun.

Hooray for Tikiman!!
It's because of your site that i will be at the Poly in only 8 short days, and loving every minute of it.
Don't let anyone get you down.:D

s&k'smom,

How about this. Stay at the GF and have a virtual stay at the Polynesian through my site ;)

If you stay at the GF you can always visit the Polynesian.

Aloha

Steve

Tikiman what a good idea. And to completely torture myself I'm heading over to your sight because it is only about 20 degrees here in Massachusetts and I want to look at your Poly pictures.

Nothing much else to add to what has already been said but big thumbs up for Steve's site - I even remember a while back that the content hosting people where going to put the fees up because of the number of hits the site was getting and there was a petition to chip in to keep it going.

Luckily for all of us it's still there.

It was great for our trip a while back and is great for cold, wet days here in the UK.

I agree Tikiman has the best Resort site out there!! I have not seen any other sites like that with so much info!!
I really enjoy your site and send many friends to it.
I may not be a Poly fan but I am a tikiman site fan!!:teeth: :wave2:

Tikiman - Thanks for your great website. It is by far the best I have seen on any of the resorts. I love the historical information on the planning and building of the resort. Your site helped us to decide to stay there in 02 and now the Poly is our favorite resort. We are planning to go back to DW in May and have been researching other resorts to save money, but we keep comparing everyone to the Poly. I think I am going to just tell my wife to book the Poly and hope for a good code. Anyway thanks for your great site. Jay

I'd like to add my "thanks" and appreciation to Steve for all the work he's put into his website. I've been a member of these boards for 3 years now and Steve's Polynesian site has ALWAYS been the best!! Thanks again, Steve :)

Ohmygosh -

we're staying at the Poly for the first time in Feb. and without Steve's site - I'd be lost. I spent 3 hours on it Sunday. What a wonderful site - ignore that idiot.

PamNC

P.S. My favorite resort at present is YC/BC, but, who knows I may join Tikiman and deem the Poly my new fav. I'll let ya'll know after 2/16.
