Tiggerdad's chasing squirrels at the Fort! Nov. 14-23

Thanks for sharing! Your site looks great and glad you were able to secure a better spot. You're like a campsite hoarder of blow ups. Nice!

Teamubr, you got me on the flag. It isn't NASCAR, F1 maybe?
jbrostek got it.

Meatball flag. My old car was very... fragile. 4 times that season, something broke while I was leading. We actually have several more flags than NASCAR uses. Double yellow, standing yellow, debris. Because our road courses are longer than a typical stock car track, we usually have "local" yellows and not full course (double) yellows.

And jbrostek. 47 days! That puts you down there when it's COLD. Like 40's or 50's even. Still nice than StL this week, so have a great time.

Well, I guess the good weather had to come to an end, and it did today. Rain moved in around 1:00 and has been constant ever since. Didn't get to post last night because we were too late coming in from MK and got up early to make HS to get as much done as we could before the rain set in.

I have taken advantage of the early evening to upload some pics. These are from all over the campground taken since arrival day.

Here are some shots of my site after I got it setup.

Hey Ed, this should take care of the last square inch you were referring to. This is the view of the site from off of Big Pine Drive.

Here are some pics from other sites, sorry no site numbers.

These next few are from a site over on 1600

Oh yeah, when I was heading over to 2000 loop the other morning to meet Snowmedic, I was crossing the bridge over to 600 loop and the strangest feeling I was being followed...

For today's final pick, when I was at AK, sitting with my daughters and picking animals out of the Tree of Life trunk, I saw something that made the hair on the back of my neck stand up...

Looks like more people at the Fort are getting into the holiday spirit. Some nice looking displays, finally.

As for the squirrels, they everywhere, watching your every move. Hope the weather gets better for the rest of your vacation.

Enjoying your report from up the road! We were at HS today too.... It was a mess for us. The long awaited Elsa and Anna Sing Along was cancelled, TSM was shut down, and Fantasmic was cancelled. On a positive note, my little girl was picked to get the Red Rose at beauty and the beast. Hoping for better weather tomorrow.

Your site looks great. Have a great week.

Kandazak,

Missed out on Fantasmic and Frozen too. Missed Osborne lights as well. We'll return another night to try and make it up.

We are up early this morning. Got a 7:05 appointment with a mouse for breakfast then over to Seaworld for the day.

I see you have a wind chill advisory this evening. Bundle up and think warm thoughts like "At least these windchills aren't 5 below like Tina´s are!"

Teamubr - I 50-70 days, 60-40 nights. I was there 2-3 years ago and it was int eh mid 70's all day and mid 60's at night. Still warmer then the 20s-30s of the DC metro area. Last year I was in shorts when the temps where hovering around the teens with single digit wind chills in the mid atlantic. So I cannot complain at all. And being after the holidays the only busy time is when Run Disney event is going on, otherwise the lines are not too bad in general.

Rajak73,

Ordered it off Amazon and got it in the mail about 3 days before we left.

I got great news. Last night and this morning the Fort's Christmas decorations are going up! I'll post pics tonight.

Very Cool!!! I'll bet the place looks amazing when they are done.

I've been down 4 times between end of January to mid-March. It has been a mixed bag. One year over Valentine's day it was great. 70's during the day and 50's at night. The next year it turned cold the day we flew in and it was upper 50's and windy. Upper 30's at night. The warmest it got the whole trip was mid 60's. Last year over spring break in March, it was upper 60's during the day. Mornings waiting for the buses were brisk. Much better than StL or DC for March, but cooler than I would have wanted.

Maybe I've just become so used to WDW during the summer heat that it doesn't seem right unless it is 95 degrees.

NOTE: Wanted to try Wednesday, but forgot I have a "Terrific Kids" presentation
at an Elementary School my organization has "adopted".

Scupper I sent you a text. This is assuming you do text messages...some people absolutely hate them.

The cold weather today and wind made us change our plans. We were headed to Seaworld after we ate breakfast at Chef Mickey's this morning, but we decided to get our Downtown Disney shopping out of the way. I was really hoping for the David Doss artwork featuring Mickey and the camper, but none available. Dang! I have since spent the rest of the evening walking around major construction zones and carrying about 5 tons of bought store goods. I passed some time feeding a squirrel on a bench outside Starbucks until a castmember said something about how it was bad for the squirrels. When I asked him if he realized how bad it would be for him if I was forced to stop, he gave me this really bewildered look.

Some people just don't understand squirrels...

and how angry they can get...

guy must have been suicidal...

poor fool...

Anyway, I'm uploading some pics to Photobucket and I'll put them up later this evening after dinner.

This made laugh. You are funny! Twisted. But funny!

Started this morning off at Chef Mickey's for breakfast...

Got some uploads...man this cable modem is rrreeeaaalllyyy slow.

So here are some Christmas decorations that have gone up since yesterday.

These two are at check-in

These are from the Meadows and Bike Barn

Over at the stables

SQUIRREL!

Backyard BBQ and old entrance to River Country

Near Pioneer Hall...

Notice the light on the right is already decorated and they are working on the light behind the cart...

SQUIRREL!

Ooooops! Sorry!

On the porch at Trail's End...

I would have taken a seat in a rocker but now there are only 3 of them left on the porch. Replaced by these ignorant high tables and bar stools...

Somebody should be punched right in the mouth for thinking this was a good idea.

Here's a game boys and girls! Which one of these 5 things doesn't match?

Pioneer Hall...Crocketts Tavern...Trails End...log cabin design...high tables and chairs...

That's right! Tell him what he's won Johnny!
"Well, you've won yourself a prize package including one weeks free golf cart rental, premium site, free dinner at Pioneer Hall, and the opportunity to kick a manager square in the rear-end for getting rid of all the rocking chairs!"

Now, onto the show...

Over at the Trading Post...

SQUIRREL!

Haven't seen a Christmas Tree. Anybody know where they usually put it up at? If you do, post a hint and I'll get a pic and post it for everybody.

Speaking of River Country, here are some pics for those of you interested in how badly it is falling apart in there. There structures are really starting to crumble now.

It looks like some kind of fish hatchery project going on in the back maybe...
