Tigger and Eeyore's trip without the kids ( only took food pics!)

so far so good - looking forward to the rest.

we had a similar (but not as bad ) view when we stayed at WL. I just tried not to look to the left - straight ahead and to the right were good.

DW had Wood-grilled Flank Steak and I had Kouzzina Trio. DW said the steak was good. The Trio was a pleasant surprise. I liked everything on the plate. The lamb burger was spicy which was a shock at first. I usually don't like spicy foods but I liked this. DW tried the burger and said it tasted like "armpit".:rotfl:.

For dessert they brought out a birthday cupcake:cheer2: for DW and she also got Galaktoboureko I chose A Sweet Ending
to Your Celebration . . . Baklava. All were very good.

I love the pictures from Kouzzina. I'm looking forward to trying the trio next week!!!

Since we were on vacation without the kids we slept in and didn't feel the need to rush to the parks. We got to MK around 10:30 am. It was about 94 degrees and very crowded.
We went on a few rides then went to Cosmic Ray's for lunch. I didn't bother with pics. since we both got burgers. Nothing special about that.
We went back to WL for a swim before dinner:woohoo:. The pool wasn't even refreshing. DW got in the water and said it was too hot to enjoy:sad1:. We went back to our room to rest and then headed to the Grand Floridian.
DW had the Grilled Rib-Eye and I had Shrimp and Penne Pasta:banana:. As I said before DW hates seafood so I don't get to have any at home.DW loved the Rib Eye and my Shrimp Pasta was very good.

For dessert DW had Chocolate Fondue and I had Chocolate-Hazelnut Mousse Cake. I had to help DW finish hers since she doesn't like marshmallows and bananas. Not that I'm complaining:rotfl2:.

The food from the GF Cafe looks so good! I'll have to add that to my list for next time. Do you need to make reservations there?

We did make reservations but the place was practically empty. We had 5:00 reservation and the whole time we were there there was probably no more than 10 other people there.

Thanks! We're staying at WL in January, so maybe that can be our "spur of the moment" where should we eat spot.

We went back to Epcot on 8/4 to drink around the World.
we started out in Mexico and decided we better eat something before getting a drink. We stopped at the kiosk in Mexico (I think it's fairly new) and we got Nachos.

Disney0810078.jpg

After eating our Nachos we went to the tequila Bar in Mexico. I don't know the name and can't find a menu. DW got the avacado margerita and I got a Tequila sunrise. The menu here is amazing. Any kind of tequila you can think of. They even have flight tastings ( 3 different shots of tequila). DW doesn't like doing shots of tequila and it's not fun doing them alone:rotfl: so I passed. We also got chips and guacmole. The drinks were very good. DW loved the avacdo margarita.

Next we went to Germany and had a wine tasting. DW and I aren't big fans of wine. We live on Long Island and have gone to the wineries out East and only seem to like the dessert wines. Lucky for us Germany had 3 dessert wines to choose. So that's what we got. Sorry I can't remember there names but we liked all 3.

And last but not least we went to France and got The Grand Marnier Orange slush( our favorite). We get this every trip.

We had dinner reservations at 7:00 for Raglan Road in Downtown Disney Pleasure Island. So after spending the day at Epcot we took the bus to Downtown Disney.
We arrived about 5 minutes early and after waiting approx. 5 minutes they called our name. They sat us at a table near the bar. We couldn't see the stage but knew at times that there were dancers performing.
DW had Sod The Stew and I had Traditional Guinness and Onion Banger. We were both disappointed in the meals. Mine had a strong pepper taste.

For dessert DW had Bailey's Brulé Tart and I had Trifle Sinful. These were just ok.
Overall we were very disappointed in this restaurant. The waiter wasn't very friendly and the table where they sat us did not have a nice view.
Later that night after going to bed I woke up around 1:00 am and was very sick:sick:. The only thing I can attribute it to was dinner. I did not have a restful night and the plan was for us to get up early and go to DHS for rope drop:confused3.

Hi everyone, I'm the DW he keeps referring too! :lovestruc

The fries with my Rib-Eye were amazing; they were Garlic Parmesian and were so tasty I could have eaten just them without the rib-eye. The Rib-Eye a little fatty but that's to be expected with most rib-eyes I believe

After having a bad night we got up early to get the bus to DHS. DW wanted me to get rest but I told her I wasn't going to ruin her Birthday. I was feeling better. My stomach was a little queasy but I wanted to go.

We got to DHS about 20 minutes before rope drop. As soon as they let us go DW ran to get fastpasses for ToT and I ran to get on line for RNR. As I said earlier I'm a big wimp and although I go on RNR every trip because DW loves it I'm not too crazy for that ride. So of course when we get into the loading dock there's a problem:confused3. There was a guy in overalls kneeling down on the platform looking inside an opening in the floor with a flashlight and checking something while they kept running the empty cars.
For approx. 15 minutes we all stood watching this guy and wondering what was going on. Of course I said DW was trying to kill me:rotfl:. Making me go on the ride. So the guy stood up and closed the panel and they started letting us get on. Needless to say I survived:yay:.

After RNR we went on ToT and then TSM. TSM was a 70 minute wait but we weren't in a rush. After TSM we headed over to AK to go on EE. EE was only 20 minute wait. So we went on and went to Flame Tree for lunch.

We both got the Pork Sandwich. We both get this every trip. It's very good.

Enjoying the reviews!

What did you think of the nachos you got? I love nachos and would like to try them IF the new Cantina is not open when we go.

We got the chinese food from SS last yr and thought it very average reminded me of mall food, I think Ill get the grilled salmon and mash potatos

The Nachos were good. Nothing special. There was alot on the plate. More than enough for two. Just needed something in our stomachs before getting tequila drinks:lmao:.

After lunch we walked around AK some more. I wanted to go on Kali River Rapids because it was so hot but I didn't want to be soaked before going to dinner. So we decided to go to the Lion King show.
We've never gone to this show before and really enjoyed it. We can't wait to go back with the kids. I think they will love it.
After the show we walked around some more and then it was time to get the bus to Yacht Club for our 5:00 dinner.

DW had"Prime" New York Strip Steak and I had Oak-fired Rib-Eye. These were a little different from menu on allears. DW had seasoned potato wedges and I had horseradish mashed potatoes. This was DW's favorite meal. Which turned out nice since it was her Birthday:). She really loved my mashed potatoes. As a result I didn't get to have much:rotfl2:.

For dessert DW had Trio of Valrhona Chocolate and I had Mango Cheesecake. Overall this was a very good choice for dinner. I would recommend this restaurant.
