This reminds me of someone who posted a while back that she was going to send a complaint to WDW because Eeyore had given her husband a "soul brother" handshake.

Cast members do fill out a permission to do a background check form when applying. I do not know what service is used or what records are checked during the process.

Sounds like he may be filing a union greivence if they find him innocent, since they suspended him without pay. Also perhaps he thought he was touching their shoulder. I know the characters often pat you on the shoulder. Interesting case, I do not know how they can prove it "beyond a reasonable doubt".

Viking where do you get that he had someone taking pictures? From my understanding it was either the Father taking the pictures or the official character photographer at toontown. Again it would have happened in a room full of guests, greeters, photographers, and other character performers. Where are the witnesses?

If you see Tigger moonwalking I think that would be a good sign your wife would be safe to pose for a picture....now the kids might be a different story.

..... In a couple of the press articles I read he was quoted as having a photographer taking pictures of him with guests. I believe the police have confiscated some envelopes with pictures in them. His statements were a little confusing, but I got the impression this was almost like a game to him....having a supposedly innocent by-stander snapping shots of him as he "felt up" young ladies. Maybe my assumption is wrong and I'm drawing the wrong conclusion, but I know he said he had someone taking pics.

Samirella has stated and, as a former WDW performer I completely agree w/her, that having your photograph taken while in costume or during performances is very common and in no way implies that the allegeded actions were premetitated.

I have photos of myself that bystandars, greeters and friends took. It certainly doesn't mean that I was trying to molest people.

I don't know if the accused is guilty or innocent. And I"m certainly not trying to defend someone who I don't know.

However I do know that in my experience it would be very difficult to "feel up" people while in costume.

...Samirella posted about the picture taking that occurs after my first post about it being pre-meditated. If the shots were innocent, then I stand corrected. However, I found it a little odd that the police didn't arrest "tigger" until they had viewed the pics he had in an envelope. If they were harmless, why the arrest ?

I'm not defending the guy, I don't know him. He could be guilty as sin. I just don't know why having photos taken implies guilt.

All I know is that it's very hard to feel or see anything in costume. In the Orlando Sentinel article I read it says

Sheriff's spokesman Jim Solomons said the pictures did not show any inappropriate touching

I just don't get why people are hung up on the photos, I would bet nearly all costumed characters working at WDW have photos of themselves in costume. I feel him saying he could have done it and saying he would write an apology letter seem to be more relevent than photos with no inappropriate touching.

His memory loss "past and present" is a little hard to explain. He's sorta saying " I may have done it, I don't remember, but I'll apologize just in case ". Seems like a half a$$ed confession.

I'll give you that one...as a dyslexic I never experienced memory loss. I actually think I have a pretty good memory. Not that I remember ever guest I was ever in contact with.

Lesson learned....under arrest or not, never talk to the police without a lawyer.
