Tiger's New Commercial?

You know, I really think Earl's passing was one of the final straws that pushed Tiger out of control.

Perhaps seeing this commercial, and remembering his Father's words will re-inspire Tiger. Although, I believe Earl wasn't the best "family man" either, but Tiger did look up to him, and I'm sure he knows that Earl would have been the one most disappointed with what occurred.

Oh please. It is an attempt for Nike to "reintroduce" Tiger to the public and nothing more than that.

Actually I think he was cheating on Elin while they were still dating so I don't think his father's passing had much to do with it. If anything, his own father's infidelities probably had MORE to do with it.

Was this stated somewhere, or is it TMZ conjecture? Not trying to be snarky, but I hadn't heard anything about him cheating while they were dating.

I like it too. And I think that it's time to move on and let the guy play golf.

Maybe its conjecture. I don't want to slam Tiger. Lord knows I'm not perfect either. I just feel so horribly for his wife. She's all alone in a dark place while the crowds are cheering for Tiger's comeback.

I was just asking, because I really don't follow a lot of the intense details of what went on. In another thread I mentioned I'm a lifelong golfer, so I'm more likely to read about Tiger in Golf Digest (where they focus on his game), than People or US Weekly (where they focus on everything else!).

I do think what he did was wrong. As a guy, I would never condone someone cheating on their spouse. But I also think, at this point, continuing to repeat it is pointless. He can't take it back, and we can only hope they, as a family, can work it out together, in their own way.

Creepy and shameless. If Tiger was thinking about his family instead of himself, he would never have considered it.

I finally watched it. I will be honest- it would be really difficult for Tiger to do anything I'd find appealing at this point. He is darned if he does; he is darned if he doesn't. I find the commercial to be in poor taste. I we supposed to feel sorry for him? It didn't work for me. I don't care if he returns to golf. It's fine. I can separate talent from lifestyle. For example, as much as I can't stand Eminem, I knind of like some of his music. Yoy can be talented and a jerk.
Tiger's next step? Move on. Actions speak louder than words- but staring at the camera with sullen eyes with your deceased father's voiceover doesn't count.
