Tiffins or California Grill for dinner

DH and I would like to eat in 1 signature restaurant for dinner during our trip in August. Last year we ate at California Grill and absolutely loved it. Not sure if we should try something different or stick with what we love. Heard good things about Tiffins so wanted some input. We got FD offer, so will be using DDP credits. Thanks!

Have not tried Tiffins yet. We loved California Grill as well, and would highly recommend Citricos at GF! Close 2nd to CG in our opinion! Congrats on FD!! Enjoy

For the pro-Tiffins people...what is a good time to have dinner if we want to enjoy AK at night? Would you do a reservation for 5:00 or for 8:00?

CG is on our list of must-dos. We did hit Tiffens last trip and it was ... It was neat. The food was very good quality and had a lot of unique choices. Portions were small. Like really small. I'm not there to get a barge of food but I did expect a little more. Service was good.

To be honest, stick with CG as your signature and do lunch at skippers canteen in MK and you'll get most of the same fun as Tiffens.

Or skip CG and try the Yachtsman, another of our must-dos, I'd you want variety.

I agree with this. Portions at Tiffins is small. But the food is quite good though. They do offer unique items on the menu. CG though, it use to be my fave. But not anymore. Ever since the refurb, Ive had a lot of disappointing meals there. I did hear they're getting a new chef though. I dont know when....but this is exciting news indeed! Im hoping things will improve there.

Anyway, between the two, i'd pick Tiffins since its new for you and you've never been.

I love Tiffins, it's become our go-to signature restaurant. I left there stuffed last trip (we did the ROL package, so had appetizer, entree, dessert). The Wagyu beef was fantastic, though they did change it since I was last there so I can't speak to the current incarnation. They also have some great drinks.

I love Tiffins. I went twice last time and I had such a good experience both times. The food is great and the decor is really interesting. I never had grilled octopus before and I loved it.

If you want to stick to what you know that you like, then go to California Grill. If you want to try something new, Tiffins is really good too.

If you're looking for something a little more unique than Cali Grille, I would recommend Jiko heads and tails above Tiffins...we ate at both last week and loved Jiko so much we returned for a second time during our trip! The food was just so much better, the portions were larger, the venue was absolutely gorgeous, and we had the most fabulous server, Lisa C! My husband did enjoy the venison at Tiffins, but my duck dish was rubbery and tough to eat.

We love both of them. I think it really depends where you will be. If you will be in Animal Kingdom that day, I would do Tiffins. Great menu, wines and service.
If you will be somewhere else or not a park, I would do California Grill.
Both are in our top 5 favorite restaurants at WDW. You can't go wrong with either choice
I would also agree with the above suggestion of Jiko. We have never had a bad meal there, and it also is in the top 5. It is better than Tiffins.

Haven't been to Tiffens' yetthough it's certainly on my list of signatures to try.
Should you only be doing one fine dining experience this trip why not broaden the horizons and give it a try?
