We are so looking forward to possibly getting a ROL dining package at Tiffins. Normally when eating at a restaurant that serves a continental cuisine, I almost always order fish, if it's fresh. Looking at Tiffins menu, or proposed menu, I noticed that the only fish being offered is a Black Cod. It can be the greatest fish in the entire world, and may be absolutely wonderful, but when I think of Cod, I think of Van de Camps, or Long John Silver. I kind of expected, or hoped for a second fish offering like Halibut, Red Snapper, Sword Fish, Grouper, Mahi Mahi, Trout, Salmon or even a Flounder. Hopefully they'll expand the menu a little bit by the time we get there in December.

Between the appetizers and entrees, I see 6 fish/seafood dishes, none of which are black cod (which is delicious). If you want more variety than that, you should probably seek out a restaurant that specializes in seafood. That really isn't the focus of the restaurant.

1) We went to the Menu Tasting for Tiffins a little while ago.
2) I did not see any Cod.
3) I think you will be pleased with the menu items.
4) For an in-park eatery, the food is quite good.
5) Of course it should be, since it is a Signature Restaurant.

Have to admit that I didn't get much past this sentence. Of all the words that could be used to describe Tiffins cuisine, continental would not be the first that springs to mind. When eating at an ethnic or multiethnic restaurant, do you also almost always order fish? Looks like you will have more than one choice for both apps and entree.

Everyone has their own, unique preferences, but when it comes to new restaurants, I like to try them out first, then rip them to shreds.

While I suspect they will change up the menu periodically, like a lot of the signature spots, I saw a TIffins review earlier today that involved a whole fried snapper as one of the key fish options. I got high marks from the reviewer.

One my daughter found online. Obviously may be outdated.
I thought perhaps you may have seen the actual menu at Tiffins, and it was different from the one on the Disney website. I am anxiously awaiting to read more reviews about the food and experiences at Tiffins. We have a JB show dining package at Tiffins in just two weeks, and the menu I've seen excites me a lot! I hope we're not disappointed!

Continental cuisine in my book means they serve a variety of entrees that include Fish, Steak, Chicken, Pork etc. Tiffin does just that. They may use different spices than normal, but to me it's still a continental cuisine. (I'm not sure how much steak they eat throughout most of Africa these days) I consider ethnic food to be Chinese, Mexican, Italian, Indian, etc. etc. etc. Sorry the word continental isn't as extravagant of a description as you would have liked.

Technically, "continental cuisine" refers to European food, specifically western Europe. I really wouldn't expect a park that features Africa and Asia to specialize in continental cuisine. Like you, I'm not sure how much steak they eat throughout much of Africa these days, but they probably eat more steak than they do the types of fish that you listed as being "expected".

I'm not sure what menu you're looking at, but the entrees list halibut and a sustainable fish as well as several seafood appetizers.

I actually would have liked black cod if it were available but it looks like halibut is on the menu. I think they also have fried sustainable fish. Maybe you would prefer those options OP :)
