Has anyone used Tiffany's town car service to get to the WDW hotels? I'm thinking of booking it for my family of 4 to the Yacht Club. Advantages/Disadvantages over Magical Express. Thanks for your help.

Have not tried Tiffany town car yet, we are using them next month, but if you do a search on the DISboard you will see a lot of good reviews for them.

Tiffany advantages: You will be greeted by your driver and don't have to share your ride with anyone else. They will take you directly to your resort, you don't have to wait for other people to be dropped off. And one of the biggest advantages is the complementary 30 minute grocery stop.

Tiffany disadvantage: You would have to pay for the town car as opposed to the ME which is free for Disney resorts. They will also (from what I have read) transfer your check in luggage to your resort.

I've used them many times....good service.
Advantages??? Quicker, nicer.
Disadvantages?? Cost a ton more. You should take your bags with you.

It all depends on what type experience you want. If you want something more personal, go with TT. They will meet you at baggage claim, help you with your luggage and then off to WDW you go. Should take about an hour total...gate to resort. (30 min ride to the resort, 10 min from gate to baggage claim, 15 mins at baggage claim, 5 mins to walk to and get into the car...about).
I don't recommend tagging your bags with the DME luggage tags as some do. There is no way for DME to know if you have any missing bags, so you may not know about a missing bag for hours. Much better to just get them at baggage claim. Cost for TT should run about $115 (about) plus tip.
I also recommend packing your carryon bag with anything you may need to start your vacation in WDW...the airlines do misdirect bags all the time. You don't want your swimsuit in the bag that goes to Detroit!!!

If you take DME, it should take you about 70-75 mins. 15 mins from gate to DME area, 5 mins to checkin and head to bus lines, 10-15 mins in bus line, 10 min wait on the bus, 30 mins to resort. It could be as short as an hour or closer to 90 mins...but seems that 75 mins is about the average time to date.
With DME you can tag those checked bags and have DME move them for you. But, be sure to pack anything you may need in a carryon bag...you won't get your bags for up to 4 hrs after resort checkin...not DME checkin, but resort checkin.

I have used DME many times...and the vast majority of times the experience has been good. I have also used car services as well. It all depends on what I want for that particular trip.

:) DH and I have only used Tiffany Towncar. We do not use ME or other services. I always call 3 weeks ahead and schedule our pick up. We have used them at least 7 times. Our trip two weeks ago was $109 using the towncar and then I tipped the driver. When we travel with 2 other people (4 total) we get a van. It is only a few dollars more and there is much more space. Only one time have we had a driver that drove too fast and made us nervous. The following year I requested not to have him and he was no longer working for them.

THey have always been on time and been very helpful. We have gotten stops at Publix and the Hess station one night when Publix was closed. I would request Mark or Waseem. I requested Waseem this last time but he was unable to get us and they said that could not gaurantee a request, but Mark was fantastic and I will ask for either one from now on.

All in all thay are the only company my DH will use and we have total confidence in them. Just give the guy on the phone your CC# when you make the reservation. If you want to pay cash just give it to the driver when he puts you out. I did not give my CC# to the reservation guy, he didn't ask for it--so Mark could only make a "copy" of the card and it seemed to catch him off guard, when he dropped us a t Kidani. The charge showed up about an hour later on Dh's phone. So from now on I will pay for it upfront.

They really are great.

:) Tiffany provides instant gratification and that matters to DH--no waiting--straight to the resort. If it is 2 adults and 2 kids, a towncar would work. Mark picked us up in an executive towncar which had even more room.....awesome!:thumbsup2 The car was very clean.

Our room this trip was right over the bell services desk at Kidani. DH and I watched the Luggage trucks pull up from the airport. Everything was neatly stowed and scanned but I could not tell how efficient room delivery was. If I was doing ME I would get my own bags and bring them with me to the resort. Just remember to tip the ME driver for helping you with your luggage.

We just used them this week. I would use them again.

Advantages - as others have stated, convenience. Also did a grocery stop. And we were picked up 2 hours prior to our flight time.

Disadvantages - cost, but we feel it is worth it.
