What is the "normal" tip for a TTC driver? And I have heard if you get the round trip service you pay for it all on the first trip, but you should tip both times(in case you get a different driver). Is that correct?
Thanks, Im new to this.

A customary tip would be 15%, but I know a lot of people tip more than that. Yes, you do pay the roundtrip price after the initial trip, because the fare is discounted for roundtrip. When I used them last year, I based the tip on half the roundtrip price even though I was told I would likely get the same driver. I'm glad I did it that way because I didn't get the same driver.

You are right in that you pay for the round trip all at once. If you use credit card you can put the tip on the credit card. For us, the tip depends on how many bags we have and how many people. 15% is a normal tip for normal service. Special service usually means you tip more.

Last time we used the van. There were 4 adults and a child. We had 10 bags and tipped about $16, I think. The first driver we had was TERRIBLE and I didn't tip - was late, didn't help with bags, snapped at my son, was snotty to my parents and didn't even open the door to the luggage or for us.... I called and complained and Debbie was wonderful. The 2nd driver was Bereley and he was wonderful. I still believe tip depends on service...if you don't get any...don't tip. If you do get some...tip. Just my thoughts...and I've worked for tips before so I understand both sides.

I love TTC! We have used them 3 times and have always had Mohammed as our driver. He has always been waiting for us upon our arrival and is very friendly.

I usually tip $10 each way, and I tip after each segment.

Thanks!
Thats what we were thinking, about 10.00 if the service is good. How much space do they usually have for luggage? Do you think that having a double baby carriage(folded up of course) would be a problem on top of our luggage(about 5 suitcases and a couple of small carry ons)? There will be 2 adults and 2 kids(1&4).

There probably won't be a problem because Town Cars have huge trunks, but if you want to be absolutely sure, just call Tiffany and ask them.

Will all that stuff fit in your trunk, or do you drive a van? I don't think there is any sedan that has a bigger trunk than a town car.

In the past, with that much luggage, we have usually gone with the van but we had one more adult. Of course, we have a car seat to deal with, too. Will you need one for the 4 year old also? I am one of those worriers and want to make sure everything goes smoothly.

But, Tiffany should know whether or not it will all fit. The stroller tends to take up a lot of room so that might be the snag. But those town car trunks are large. And if you are willing to hold a couple things on your lap, if you have to, then it might all work.

Give them a call. Be sure to know approx. how big your 5 bags are going to be. That might determine whether it will all fit. They have always been more than happy to help me with info on the phone.

Thanks for the replies. I will probably call them again. We called earlier about the car seat issue because I was afraid we would get there and they would say they couldnt take the kids without carseats(sorry kids, your staying at the airport for the week, LOL). They said because its "public transportation" the kids arent required by law to be in a carseat. So we will get the one they provide for the 1 yr old(well, hell be 20 months), and the 4,(almost 5) yr old, whose good size, wont need one. I dont mind being buried in bags as long as we get everything to fit. And yes, we drive a CRV so the carriage always fits in our car. The more I think of it, we should only have 4 suitcases(one small) so it shouldnt be too bad. Ill be sure to ask when we book it.

this is for any one who took the towncar to the grocery store. where did they take you? witch store, i here that some are very expensive. can you request witch store to go too? also i now am booked for mears, can i call wd travel agent and cancel andchange to tiffany? thanks!!!! this is my first trip:confused: :D

DizzyDisney, the usual grocery stop is the Publix. I'm not sure about switching from Mears to Tiffany. Is it part of a package? Maybe someone else can help with that question.

Camcolt, last year my family of four had four suitcases one carrycase, a double stroller(foled up), and we stopped at the Publix, too, and we still were able to fit everything. We had a few things in the backseat with us, not much though.

DizzyDisney, If you have a package booked directly through Walt Disney Travel Company, you can cancel the Mears transfers up until 45 days prior to arrival without penalty. If you are within 45 days of arrival, they would charge you a change fee.
Otherwise, you can cancel the Mears transfers and book Tiffany on your own.

thanks for all the help with my ? i think ill switch to ttc and drop mears. we dont want to waste a minute of dw time!!!!:p
