Tiffany Towncar Experiences?

Just got back yesterday from Florida. Not Disney. Dropped off car at Alamo, than went to counter to ask them to page or call some one for escort assistance. This is what we were told to do when our escort dropped us off at Alamo the week before when we arrived. I have very bad legs and can only walk very short distance. They said they could not help, go up to 2nd or 3rd floor. Asked the first person we saw for a wheelchair, said if we were not flying frontier, he could not help us. Asked 4 more people on our way to Delta airlines, no one would or could help us. I walked form Alamo to Delta airlines! I was in tears. I hurt so bad! We asked what do people do when they can not walk, and depend on some assistance from the airport staff? They said they could not answer that. They had no idea. We were told we should of dropped myself and luggage off at Delta airlines, than had hubby drop car off. Our mistake. With traffic right there we were just happy to get car back. So don’t airports have to accommodate disabilities? They have a great system at MSP! So anyway, we are going to Disney in a few weeks. Taking sunshine flyer there, will get assistance from plane to bus. But I can not walk from bus to Delta again. So looking into town cars. Will need room for 8 and maybe 5 suitcases, but will need to drop 2 of us off at delta and 6 off at Suncountry. Will they do that?

Probably. On one trip our party needed to be dropped off at 2 different resorts. They dropped our DS & DDIL at their resort & then dropped my DH & me at ours. There was a fee, I can’t remember how much. You can call or email & ask for sure.

Another absolutely GREAT experience with Tiffany today on our return to MCO. Got a confirmation text yesterday stating our driver would be Steven. He arrived today 20 minutes early and texted me to let me know hew was there and early but yo take our time. He loaded and unloaded all our baggage ( there were 10 of us, 6 adults, 4 kids). The drive to the airport was very relaxed. Great driver.

We used Tiffany both ways and I would highly recommend them. Especially for a large group.

We used them in February and like another poster in here, the experience wasn't terrible, but it wasn't very good either. Our resort changed and I called them over a week before the trip and told the guy that we were staying at a different resort (Still WDW, we are with DVC and just had a resort open we wanted to try). I also said that we would be checking a bag instead of just having carry ons. Again, this was communicated over a week before the trip, the guy said no problem and he updated the record.

When we arrived at the airport the driver was already texting us to say to just meet her outside since we don't have any checked bags. I said we did have a checked bag. She immediately replied back that it wasn't on the record and all that. I called her and explained that I told them and she just said dispatch didn't tell her. So we got the bag and got in the car, and it clicked with me to ask where we were going. It was the old resort. I said we had to go to the new resort for our first night. Again, a bit of push back, dispatch said we were going here, etc etc.

So basically they never updated the record, or somehow didn't pass it along.

They didn't charge us more or anything, and she handled it. But the rest of the ride the attitude we got was basically like we need to tell them if there was a change, and I did. I even had to show her on my phone when I called them. Could just be me, but it felt like she still didn't believe it. Unfortunately it was a call and not an email, so I had no other proof.

On the return to the airport our pick up was at Saratoga, and he was cool. Biggest stress there is Saratoga is so huge it was hard for me to effectively understand where pick up was. Because even outside the main building where check out is and all that, it's a lot of parking lot and stuff going on. But we got back to the airport no problem.

So, we got where we needed to go both ways. The price was good. It wasn't terrible. But it really started our vacation off on the wrong foot with the communication around the luggage/first location. Mistakes happen, I was more annoyed that I felt like I got so much pressure form the driver like I had done everything wrong.

Just got back from our trip. It’s been 3 years since our last trip and we always use Tiffany. I requested Renata as our driver and a stop at the Speedway near the Swan.
Our driver texted us and told us to meet him out front. It took forever to get our luggage and he complained and said what took you so long etc? Then he said, so we are stopping at Publix right? I said no, the Speedway by the Swan. He was speeding at times, slamming on the brakes at times. I honestly felt nauseous. Then at the Speedway instead of parking near the door he parks at the pump and my son has to haul the case of water over there. My Dh had a bag of a few other things. He did tell us the capital of his home country.
Our departing ride was much better. Our driver was Reuben and he arrived early. He only slammed on the brakes once when someone tried to cut him off in rush hour traffic. He was quiet and efficient.
We would probably use Tiffany again but there sure is a difference in their drivers.

We had Tiffany towncar service this past trip OCT 15 to 20th round trip and all went great. we even use the grocery stop. Much better to go back to MCO direct than on the bus at 3 hours

Holy cow you’re right in their driver differences. I’ve used them a couple trips and they were aces. I pay the premium over rideshares when traveling with my fam because I liked how they were reliably calm and safe drivers. My recent airport pickup was one of the worst drives I’ve ever had rideshares included. Speeding, tailgating so lots of brake slamming, jerked the wheel repeatedly, spent a lot of time only partially in the lane lines, darted in and around traffic in the universal area and even managed to speed through the hotel entry at an unsafe pace! He’s lucky a valet didn’t yell at him when we got out.

I’m so very disappointed. He was late picking us up, which I was totally willing to forgive as we arrived 20 mins early & he said there was lots of traffic, but that driving was unforgivable. I’ve notified them I want another driver for the remainder of my trip but seeing your story I wish I had straight up cancelled.

ETA: my driver had a different name but I won’t be mentioning it as it is a very common name so other driver/s at the company may share it

I agree that different drivers have different attitudes and different driving styles. I have had drivers who were annoyed with me because they thought I should have arrived in baggage claim already. Well excuse me for having to pee (sorry for being crude) at an airport where the ladies' rooms have long lines. I had a driver who picked us up at Sanford and insisted that we had to go to a grocery store near that airport rather than one near our hotel, meaning our perishables would have been in the car for a long time.

Perhaps someone should start a "Tiffany Towncar - What Are The Names Of Your Favorite Drivers?" thread.

Actually, it wouldn't be a bad idea to do that for Tony Hines also. His service also has drivers with different attitudes and different driving styles. I've read that the ride with some of his drivers is fine, and the ride with some of his drivers is not.

We used Tiffany Towncar for our Thanksgiving trip and I thought I would leave my review. We were due to arrive on Tuesday 11/22 at 4:45 pm. On Monday night (11/21) I received a text saying that we were confirmed for our pick up, which I really liked.

We arrived Tuesday and got off the plane. My phone had no texts when I arrived, but we started heading to the baggage claim area. Once we got there I checked my texts again and I had a text from Ray saying he was our driver and he was in the baggage claim area. I texted him back and said I'm not seeing you-where are you? He then admitted he was still in traffic. We ended up waiting over 20 minutes, which was very annoying because the whole reason I booked a town car was so we could be on the way asap. I will admit we made excellent time getting to the baggage claim area. We were toward the front of the plane and exited quickly and the monorail was already there right when we walked up. We didn't stop at the bathroom. According to my texts we were at baggage claim at 5:08. It was still very disappointing to wait so long. The driver was fine. Not friendly, but not rude either. Just quiet.

Our pick up was 11/29 at 11:15 am. I didn't receive a text the night before confirming this pick up, so I emailed at 1:30 am the night before when we got back from the parks. When I woke up the next morning there was an email sent at 5 am confirming that someone would be there. We walked to front of the hotel. The driver called me at 11:09 and said he was there. So he was a few minutes early. I forgot this driver's name, but he was similar to the other driver. Not particularly friendly, but definitely not rude.

I emailed them a few times with changes to my flight numbers/times before the trip and they always responded same day, so I did like that. It was $185 round trip and I tipped $20 cash each way. I don't think I'll ever use a car service again. I probably would've been in an Uber way sooner at the airport for less than half the price. The service I received was fine, but not worth the insane pricing. I was flying with my two kids age 20 and 18, so we would've been fine in an Uber. If you have a ton of luggage/a huge family/car seats. etc a car service may be worth it, but in our situation it was not. I was worried because it was Thanksgiving week it would be crazy busy or there would be surge prices for ride shares, but that was a total non issue. Lesson learned.

I will say when I got home I sent an email with my feedback about having to wait a long time at the airport. I also gave good feedback about everything else. I wasn't expecting anything, but I did not even get a reply.

So like I said: not bad, but definitely not worth the price.
