Ok, sorry if this has been asked before but.... We are using Tiffany town car for transportation from the airport to Pop Century. I am debating if I should bring my 3 year old dd's car seat with us. (she will turn 3 the week before we leave) We are flying, and I don't think she needs to be in the car seat on the airplane. Am I wrong? She will be 3 and weights about 36 pounds, and is average height for her age. The other question I am having is, what kind of car seats does Tiffany town car use? We have on our ressie that we need one car seat and one booster (for our 7 year old). I guess I am just nervous about what there car seats are like. Any opinions? I really don't want to drag her car seat with us, but I will if it is an issue of her safety. At home she rides in a Britax husky and Britax marathon. Both are large seats, and would be a big pain to drag with us, with all of the other gear we are taking!

Also, how long does it take to get from the airport to Disney?

Any opinions, experience or suggestions would be well appriciated!

We are getting closer to our first trip and I am starting to worry about the little stuff!

TIA

On our recent trip we opted to not take the car seat for our daughter who was just turning 3. We have always purchased a seperate seat on the plane for all 3 of our children and used safety seats each time if they were under 3. This trip we felt she was "big" enough that the airplane seat belt would be snug enough to be safe. Let me tell you, not dragging the car seat around with us was wonderful.

We also used Tiffany this trip and requested 1 car seat and 2 boosters. The car seat for my daughter looked new and was the same style car seat as we had at home. The booster seats were also in great condition. We did make sure to request the seats before hand and I had my husband confirm again right before we arrived that the seats would be there.

I believe that the driver possibly owned those seats because he kept them stored under the bench seats in the van. Tiffany, as well as probably all the companies, have different drivers who they sub work out too. I don't think you will find one standard car seat that a company uses. We have used Tiffany several times now and from what I remember the car seats were always in good condition and most importantly they always had them for us as requested. If you are concerned about the type of car seat you will get, then I suggest bringing your own.

I actually don't remember how long it takes to get from the airport to the resort areas. I'm sure my husband knows but I never paid attention to that during any of our trips. I'm always too busy looking out the window and pointing stuff out to the kids.

Have a great first trip!

We used Tiffany 2 years ago and requested a car seat for our then 2 year old DD and the driver arrived at MCO without one. I did not know what to do. We didn't have a seat with us and the driver did not offer to go get one or anything, so we drove in the towncar with our 2 year old in just the seatbelt all of the way to the WL and I felt awful. I don't remember the exact amount of time it took to get to the WL, but it felt 100 times as long because the entire time I was looking at my 2 year old in all of her glory excited to go see Minnie Mouse realizing I was totally jeopardizing her safety. In retrospect, I probably would have checked her carseat and brought it along, but I am sure my experience is not typical. I've never read or heard of anyone else who has had this experience with Tiffany. Good luck!!!
