My dd would like a necklace from Tiffany & Co. I was looking online at the necklaces under $150. I wonder if they are real "cheapy" does anyone know what they are like?

Tiffany's silver is heavy and very well crafted. Yes, you are paying for the brand name and you could get the same quality elsewhere for far less. But once you accept that you are paying for the privilege of owning a little robin's egg blue box, you can rest assured that you're also getting very high quality jewelery. Hope this helps!

I bought one of those necklaces for Sarah's birthday a few years ago and it was high quality and well received.

Nothing at Tiffany's is cheaply done. It goes against their brand, their reputation and standards of quality. :snooty:

I was in there a few times and once asked what is their cheapest item. At the time, it was something like a money clip. One of their most expensive items could have bought a 3 bedroom house in most neighborhoods. :faint: It was choice between, do you want to live in a house, or do you want to wear it?

Pay attention to size. I've seen many things online that look nice, but in the store they were smaller than I was expecting. The Elsa Peretti Open Heart pendant is pretty timeless.

The only Tiffany jewelry that is*cheapy* is the counterfeit stuff.

We have a Tiffany cross with small diamond that we got for my oldest son's christening. It's small, but beautiful and well crafted. I wouldn't worry about the quality of a $150 piece that you buy there.

Guess I'll be heading to the tiffany store.
