This is floating around. Could be totally wrong but I thought it was worth posting because it may provide an idea. Or not....lol.

ETA: I just realized this says May 2014 so obviously it's old but it still may give a good idea. Though who really knows.

Now I'm seeing it looks like it says May 2014. Was this back when they were originally thinking of this? I can't really tell. But in any case, it may give an idea of what Disney is thinking but it may not. So speculative at this point.

Wondering how this will work. I had seen some speculation that tiers would be for one-day tickets only, but clearly this shows it applies to multi-day tickets as well. That makes more sense anyway, as I assume few people (relatively speaking) buy one-day tickets. Looks like no weekends land in bronze, so realistically, nearly all visitors will either have to consciously change their visit plans (what percentage of people have NO weekend days in their vacation?) or else that offering is kind of a straw man. I don't know current ticket prices offhand to know whether these are all an increase and of what amount - one good thing I DO see is that hopper feature is prorated a little for different length stays.

Well since its old (which I now realize) weren't hoppers prorated back then? Also yeh, would they base your tix price on start date? Idk.

I've done Monday to Friday one time. My sister is joining us next year for the last leg of our trip, so she will be Mon to Friday. So some people will be able to take advantage I guess. If that calendar is representative of what's to come, I would need to purchase silver for our trip due to the weekend...

As long as I've been aware, hoppers are a flat fee (currently $64 per ticket) regardless of the length of original ticket and regardless of the number of days still remaining on your ticket. I.e. Hopper feature on a brand new 2day ticket = $64 and hopper feature added to a 10-day ticket with 1 day already used up =$64. If that draft resembles a new tiered structure, at least hoppers are $50 for 1-5 days and $64 for 6+ days

Looking at the first week of June (our preferred week) it's split Mon-Thursday at bronze, Fri-Sun at silver. So I'd be curious to know what they would do in that situation. Idk. Some are saying the tiers are for one day tix only but it still seems like that would have to trickle down to multi-day, wouldn't it?

I would think you purchase the highest tiered ticket for your entire length of stay. So if your weekdays are bronze but you have two silver weekend days, you buy silver for your stay.

Maybe so, but every weekend is either silver or gold. So that would mean that people either avoid weekends all together (possibly shortening their trips) or pay the higher tier for their entire stay even during "value" season. I just don't see Disney doing that bc they want people to lengthen their stay, not shorten it.

In an ideal world, yes. In the real world, people will pay the weekend up charge for length of stay. Not all, but most.

Or you have people like me, who would just buy the park tickets for the weekdays and use the weekends as down time to use the pool and tour resorts. We do that anyway, so we would just structure our trip in a way that saves us money.

Maybe so, but paying the upcharged during value season sounds counterproductive. I guess we will find out soon enough.
