So we will be traveling from Washington for our upcoming trip. I've always gotten our passes at either AAA office or from the Disney store. Now that AAA no longer carries the tickets and the Disney Store isn't carrying 5 day passes only the 3 day passes, I'm just wondering is there anything different about just waiting to get the tickets at the ticket booth once we get down there. I've never been a fan of the e-ticket versions. I know in the past there use to be a discount if you purchased ahead of time but that's not really the case anymore. And I don't like going through any other site for tickets. I really like the souvenir type tickets. Where do you get tickets or do you get them at the ticket window?

How many days are you going? If you buy your tickets at the gate, you will not be eligible for Magic Morning if you're buying a 3-day or longer ticket. Also, it will mean having to wait in two lines instead of one (the line for the ticket booth and then again at the gates).

My local AAA still sells tickets in the branch. Any ticket bought at the ticket booth or exchanged from an e-ticket is going to be a tyvek paper ticket. If you don't want to buy online or buy from anyone other than Disney I don't see what option you have left but to buy at the booth.

I bought mine from Get away today. They mailed me paper tickets and they had a little bit of a discount.

I would call your AAA office & purchase over the phone if you don't want to purchase online through the AAA site. They do still offer them maybe just not in person. You will have the hard tickets mailed to you.

And you can call AAA to ask which branch offices near you still sell the tickets. Our local office does, but I know that others in neighboring areas don't. You might be able to buy your tickets with only a short drive.

Ok so I have decided to just buy online and get the e-ticket. Now just trying to decide if I should buy our tickets now for our February trip. Are the tickets bought online only good through this year or will it extend into next year?

At this point it's December 31, 2016.

I just bought an adult 3 day Park Hopper at my local AAA, $270.00. No more free parking.

Where are you staying?

If you're staying on site you can add tickets to your room reservation.
This is what I do when staying onsite. Then I don't have to buy ahead of time or stand in line at the ticket booth.

If you're not staying onsite and want the one MM that comes with a mulit-day ticket, you'll have to purchase ahead of time.
