Tickets & Wristbands.... I'm LOST!

I used to consider myself pretty seasoned when it came to Disney but they change things up so often that I'm in need of your help. Do I have to order tickets from Disney or can I get them from Undercover Tourist and then order the wristbands? I am totally new to the wristbands and have no clue how they work. Do they have to be ordered with a package? We are planning a trip in November and was considering booking just the room only and getting tickets later. Any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

You can still order from UT. They will mail you a hard plastic ticket. Each ticket will have a unique number on the back. Once you have a "My Disney Experience" account set up and have added each member of your party, you can go to the "Link Tickets" section of your account. There, you will put in the unique number from that back of each ticket into the account of each member of your party and once a Magic Band is issued to you, it will have the information from that ticket associated with it. In other words, if you bought 6 day Park Hoppers, your MBs would now have 6 day Park Hoppers on them. Or.....you could simply use the hard plastic tickets that UT sends to you just like you always have in the past. But in order to get FPs in advance, you would want to register those tickets through the My Disney Experience accounts. But once you do that, you can still use the plastic tickets if that is your preference. Once you have put the code numbers into the system, both the hard plastic tickets and the Magic Bands will have your FP information stored on them.

If you are onsite, then you'll get bands, if offsite, you can buy them if you'd like some and link them yourself.

You can book tickets from anywhere, if you buy NOT from Disney, you'll need to link the plastic tickets to the Disney Experience accounts - which will link to Magic Bands

Only pay the extra $12+ if you really can't be bothered to get a ticket out a pocket. Of course resort guests get them for free.

The only advantage of MagicBands is that ride photos automatically appear in My Disney Experiance, if you have ticket card you need to tap that on the monitor to save photos.

So am I right when I think that the advantages of magic bands are you don't need to get your ticket out when going through the gate and it links your ride photos. So if we are staying offsite and have a memory maker we will be fine. Is this right?

If you are going to purchase Memory Maker it miss be worthwhile at least one person in your party purchasing a MagicBand, you then get the ride photos and videos automatically linking and it's the only way to get your picture from Seven Dwarves.

Do you know how long it takes to get your tickets delivered from Undercover tourist. My 60 days is March 4... so when should I order my tickets.
